- The 2019 Yamaha Niken GT is an amazing motorcycle! I returned to southern California for another test ride of this amazing, leaning multi-wheel motorcycle. If you ever have the opportunity to ride one of these beasts, do it, you will not regret it! In this video, Eric (1Up5Down), and I eventually work our way to a meet up with Jaret Campisi where I also had the opportunity to ride his new bike build series 2019 Ducati xDiavel. This thing isn't for me but the quality of this video is superb.
I switched careers and also moved a couple of years ago from New York State to Indiana.
I have not been able to ride very much since I'm an OTR (over the road) CDL Driver. It's been really ticking me off that I haven't been able to get more riding time.
At least I can watch your (continuously increasing production value) videos while on the road hauling freight to help with the motorcycle withdrawal! LOL

Loved the dynamic of the video, part cinematography and part old school vlog style. The Niken is more and more interesting every time I see it.
Great video, how would you compare the turn in of this bike to an ordinary two wheeled motorcycle? I know the best way to experience a bike like this is to actually ride it but I am curious if this bike requires a different riding style and technique.

Is it worth the price, though? I really want one (because my daily driver is a Tricity scooter and I love the multi-wheel tech), but at nearly $18,000 for the GT...Sigh, I can just about get 2 MT-09s for that.
@@roberthoyer3835 I waited awhile and got a used one with 3,000 miles for $ 10,500. Would have been $ 20k OTD in Cali for a new one, last year.

If they make an adventure bike out of this with knobby tyres I can see the point of it more clearly. Now it’s more of a bike for people who either are too old for balancing or cannot ride a motorcycle yet confidently
No. No. No. Jeez, would you try like 4 seconds reading up on this thing before typing? It doesn't stand up on it's own, it will fall over like a regular bike. The leaning mechanism is completely undamped and contributes nothing to static stability. And anyway, who tf is "too old for balancing"? The whole point of the Niken is that it has 80% more grip at the front, which is *very* useful, especially in the wet. Didn't you just listen to 650ib say how good it was and why it was so good? Why would you then come up with know-nothing criticism? Ride one, then you might have a valid opinion.
