I've fished those beaches many nights in the late 1960's to the mid 1970's. At that time period, I could drive my Jeep from Nauset Beach (The Eastham Side) to P-Town or fish South of the Nauset Inlet to Chatham. Its the greatest stretch of beach in the world, for Stripers anyway. Keep on Plugging!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. That must of been unbelievable being able to drive all those miles on the sand! I can only imagine some of the epic fishing you must have encountered. Good luck down there in Florida and catch 'em up!
@@MyFishingCapeCod I've got a spot that I would like to share with you. Message me on FB and I'll give you the location and the back story on how we located it.
The in-line singles on any minnow plug will drastically reduce the amount of weed the lure picks up as well. I’ve had nights where a double treble SP wouldn’t make it 3 cranks before getting weeded up where the in-line singles were getting 8-10 cranks and that made all the difference to producing
I like my in-line single hooks to roughly match the size of the treble hooks that came with the plug. Of course the shape of the two styles of hooks is of course very different, but if the size is similar then the plug will swim with basically the same action. If you use hooks that are too big or too small, then it could kill the action of the plug. I usually use size 3/0 to size 5/0 BKK Lone Diablos in-line singles (www.themightyfish.com/collections/best-selling-items-of-2021/products/bkk-lone-diablo?_pos=3&_sid=9149038b9&_ss=r&variant=39497280323697) for most of my striper lures. Hey Richard 👋🏻 The bite was great for pretty much the entire incoming tide. It started getting good about 1.5hrs after low and continued until high. I left at high tide so I can't say how the area fished during the outgoing. Regarding the beach, I don't post locations here on TH-cam for the entire internet to see, but I do have more information about the area posted on my website for supporting members of My Fishing Cape Cod. You can check that out here if you'd like myfishingcapecod.com/surfcasting-the-national-seashore-general-area/
Great to have you aboard as a subscriber! Much appreciated. I've also been having good luck this year using fresh mackerel from the beaches of Cape Cod Bay. Freshly frozen mackerel has been working too when necessary.
Thanks man! Heartbreaking losing that account to a hacker after 7 years of hard work, but I'll probably start up a new one soon. Thanks for the comment!
It's been available on my website myfishingcapecod.com since day #1. Just sharing today on TH-cam for the first time. And all the info is still relevant today, especially as we move into late August/early September. 👍
Ryan is such a great guy
LOL! Thanks! I try my best. Hope all is well and good luck this 2023 fishing season. 🎣

How do you know what size inline singles to use?

Great content man, new subscriber here. What’s you’re favorite bait off the beach? I usually go with fresh mackerel.
