I wish this had gotten more seasons. I don't understand why it didn't? It was an awesome anime about acting, as well as had possibly the greatest female protag in anime of all time.
As someone who wants to be apart of showbiz, I find this anime truly inspirational and I’m glad I watched it. I just started the manga and I’m excited to see where it will take me.
I suggest reading the manga from chapter 67 onwards (although there are some previous arcs which were left out in the anime), we're most likely not getting a second season, but it's just too great a story to be left floating in the mid-air

I forgot about this series for the longest time until today. I found the first volume of the manga for 27 cents at a Goodwill and picked it up. I remember reading this on manga sites all the time.
Just watched it all this past weekend. I love it because of the main character. Kyoko is just too adorable and huggable, and she's actually the most interesting character despite being the protagonist which is very hard to accomplish.
I still read the manga series. Blast that ending on vol. 41!!! Showing that picture to Ren of Kyoko and... Also, Kyoko has come up in the world, in the series at least. So happy for her!
The best of it all is the manga, if you don't read it, I strongly recommend you to :D Plus, the story is more subtle in it and shows the real potential and talent of the mangaka ^^
