Might want to stock up on some Losi FiveT shock rebuild kits, they are supposed to work on the V3 shocks which are known to never stop leaking. Also you may want to use the Taylor RC titanium V3 upper shock mounts instead if you are going to be jumping it,either Taylor RC(super fast shipping in most cases from England) or Detroit Performance RC has them. I would eliminate the reverse on the ESC and keep the mechanical brakes as the main brakes, RC Sparks melted a high dollar motor using only the motor for brakes. Granted he was doing speed runs also but bashing can create just as much if not more heat.

You can add weights to the clutch pads that’ll allow them to engage much faster

if you use the disk breaks to slow you down it will help the motor from getting hot also?

Computer fans were never made to take that abuse (what everyone uses) Noctua makes a really tough well balance fan line that even works under water. I believe its all black. You might be able to pick one p in the size you need. (rad is also old PC water cooling gear. The barbs kinda sucked and the PC intustry moved away from that design in the early 2000's. SO technically you could upgrade your whole cooling system with modern PC stuff and run alot cooler.

Your going to burn your clutch and the clutch shoes. It’s gonna happen brother. There’s a reason why you have springs in your clutch. The way you have it set up the clutch shoes are just dragging along on the inside of the clutch bell. You will definitely burn either the clutch bell or the clutch shoes or both. The springs on the clutch shoes are there to give them a break so they don’t drag and burn the clutch up but now that you’ve removed the clutch shoe springs the clutch shoes will certainly drag/rub against the bell 24/7. YOU WILL BURN YOUR CLUTCH. That is guaranteed. Now, as far as the brakes are concerned you need to ONLY USE YOUR DISK BRAKES ONLY. YOU WILL SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR MOTOR IF YOU CONTINUE TO USE YOUR MOTOR AS A BRAKE, the truck weighs way to much to use the motor for braking, if you continue to use the motor for braking you will eventually burn that motor up . I’m only saying this because I don’t want you to further have to repair more than you need to and save you money. Trust me brother I’ve been in this hobby for over 45 years and I can 99% of the time know what’s about to go wrong before it happens. I hop this helps and I love watching your videos.💯💯👍👍

It’s electric so no idle release is needed. It has both motor and disk brakes. I’ll have to see where this goes because I like this setup. When driving around low speed I can’t tell there is any slipping going on like with the springs. With the springs it would hop and jump as they grabbed but now it’s smooth. I’m doing a ton of work on it with esc plate and v3 shocks and metal body mounts. If I burn up the clutch I’ll get a new one and run that. I’m not going to be pushing trees under normal circumstances. I do appreciate your experience and advice, but sometimes I just gotta learn the hard way. 😀 that happens quite often.
