    Good old TH-cam!! My finger pick evolution is almost exactly the same as yours (except two fingers, not three). I discovered alaska piks about 20 year ago thanks to Chris Proctor whom I heard about via Taylor Guitars, and they really work for me too - you can also frail with them like a flamenco guitarist. I tried their steel ones too but found the sound too hard. I use a steel thumbpick - I like the clean attack you get in the bass. i found that the plastic ones here in the UK that I tried projected too far below the thumb for my liking whereas my steel one has the same depth as the ones you use, with the advantage that you can shape the steel to make a good fit. I like the sound of that 12-string - very Leo Kottke!! What make is it?
