Williams and keels really gave duke a lift in the first half and griffin hit some big shots to keep duke firmly ahead in the second. Moore was solid throughout the game too. This team has such a balanced attack on offense, they are hard to defend. They beat the two best defensive teams in the country back to back
This team feels like they are playing the underdog role this year. Playing with a chip on their shoulders! Showing a ton of heart! I haven't seen a Duke team like this in a long time. Love these kids!!!!

@@RealTH-cam33 - first time watching NCAA in March? The refs are always bad--this is nothing new. What is new is Duke has the perimeter players that can handle the extra physical play that the refs allow every tournament.
Grant Hill literally singlehandedly carried Duke to the national championship in 1994. If not for an insane shot by Arkansas, Grant has three rings.
Basically the same team without him didn’t even make the tournament the following year after Grant Hill was a Detroit Piston. That’s how dominant Grant Hill was his senior year at Duke.
People under the age of 45 have no idea how great he was in college.
I know Grant was so happy inside for Duke to win this game. Probably more so than other Duke wins he’s covered.

Grant Hill was classy. I'm a Hogs fan who watched the 1994 title game on TV. After that game I seem to recall G. Hill going into or very near the Razorbacks locker room to congratulate the Hogs' players 🌟

Last year Arkansas surprised everyone by making it to the Elite Eight, then lost to the eventual national champion... Let's see what happens this year. Don't think Duke will be disappointed to match up against either St. Peters or North Carolina

I congratulate the Duke Referees on a fascinating win.
The Referees kept Arkansas off the free throw line all game by allowing Duke players to hit and slap and punch them repeatedly in the paint, and the Referees gave Duke ample opportunity to shoot free throws for most of the game by stopping Arkansas players from stealing the ball and contesting paint shots by Duke in any way even without touching them, or being anywhere near them sometimes. Oh and that one play where Arkansas player Devo Davis got slapped in the arm 4 times by three different Duke players, and the Refs blew the whistle and gave the ball to Duke instead of calling a foul was the best play by Referees of the game that contributed to Duke winning a spot in the final 4.
Yes, the Duke Referees might win another NCAA Basketball championship.

There was no punching or blatant slapping ur just salty that duke won. sad how you can’t just let a team win, you don’t have to congratulate them you can just respect them.
😂😂😂😂😂Banchero got 2 or 3 different fouls called on him where he barely touched an Arkansas player, a blocking foul called against Duke that was a joke when the defender was already in set position and NOT in the restricted area. Don’t even get me started with most of the cheap fouls called on Holmgren in the Sweet 16 that Arkansas benefited from. That’s how it goes in the tournament, sometimes calls go your way and sometimes they go against you. But instead of making excuses, the better team pushes through that and does what’s needed to win and in the big moments Duke did and Arkansas had no answer.
@@kenalier you've conflated two games to make it seem like there were as many bad calls on both sides. Yeah you can find some bad calls on Duke, but there were constant bad calls and no calls against Arkansas the entire game. The whole game it was made impossible for Arkansas to score with constant no calls on paint shots while being hit and vice versa on Duke's end where a steal or non physical coverage was called a foul, the whole game. Gonzaga had a few questionable fouls called on one player, meanwhile Arkansas had 4 bad fouls called on Jaylin Williams, 2 bad calls on Stan Umude, 2 bad calls on JD Notae, 3 bad calls on Audese Toney, ...etc. Clearly Arkansas was not the favorite in any of these final basketball tournament games.
@@mr.warlight9086 Ok I used the other game to show Arkansas has gotten plenty of calls, especially with that flopper Williams. Plus with Arkansas being the number 1 team in the nation in free throw attempts. But you just want to focus on last night and I’m telling you that you are just focusing on oh Duke got all the calls. I’d love an actual explanation on what you felt those bad calls were because you make it seem like every call that went against Arkansas was unfair but not so when it was against Duke. Hardly impartial. I watched that game and Duke had some bad calls on them as well. If a Duke player took a charge it was called a block, if Arkansas did the same or it was a block, it was called a charge. Banchero got cheap fouls called on him as did Roach. I think 3 or 4 different Duke players were in foul trouble and Banchero was very close to fouling out while only 1 Arkansas player fouled out. And until Wendell Moore was called for it I didn’t know it was possible to get called for a travel even though you stay on the same pivot foot. I could go on forever with more bad calls against Duke yesterday but I realize that calls were missed on both sides and in March Madness you just have to play through it and adjust. When Williams for Arkansas was getting every charge call possible Duke adjusted by euro stepping or stopping short of him and scoring. Bad calls happen on both sides, you can either learn to fight through it or complain make excuses and get eliminated.
@@kenalierJaylin Williams can draw charges and does it often. That is not the same as flopping and is yet another bad attempt to act like Duke also got bad calls. In the Gonzaga game Jaylin Williams was called for blocking twice after drawing charges and Gonzaga was given a charge call against Arkansas despite his other foot moving. Arkansas simply knows how to draw real fouls and had more players last year that could also draw charges before they were drafted. Neither Duke nor Gonzaga can draw fouls like Arkansas. They are simply given foul calls for being the organization's favorite teams. Oh and it's funny calling Jaylin Williams a flopper because Gonzaga flopped several times in the Sweet 16 Game. The Commentators didn't mention any of those, but they call an Arkansas player a flopper. Lol.

This team played like kids up until about 2-3 weeks ago. Then after the ACC tournament they grew up fast because their legendary coach helped them to mature as players and teammates. So yes. It's legendary. Especially in his last season and possibly having to go through UNC. It would be legendary.

Hogs fan here. I'm disappointed, yet not discouraged, with the loss. Duke shot better and rebounded
better. Much of this season the Razorbacks were tremendous at forcing the opponent to play
Arkansas' tempo and style of ball. Tonight it appeared Duke dictated tempo and had the game on their
terms, and Arkansas didn't ever truly find a rhythm. Plus, Coach K used some savvy timeouts.
Sometimes it just isn't your day, and I tip my hat to Coach K and his squad for executing well.

With the game count in college football, they should just start the season with an immediate conference /national tournament would be ideal.
Losers are eliminated from the national championship bracket and can play each other.

Yes! The Razorbacks have nothing to hang their heads about. They had several quality wins this year, and they played great in the tournament, leading up to the Duke game. I am also very curious to see how Coach Muss adapts. Two yrs ago the Hogs had lethal 3-pt shooting (Mason Jones and Isaiah Joe). Last year the Hogs had a decent offense. This year's Hogs had outstanding defenders.

It’s funny how people kept sleeping on Duke. They beat Kentucky and Gonzaga, yet many had those teams as more legitimate championship contenders. Fast forward to now…
Duke would've been a top seed if they didn't lose to UNC or won the ACC tournament. Not really slept on.
They had some rough spots, not just against UNC at home and in the ACC final. The COVID pause really did throw them off their game. But incredible to see how they’ve turned it around so quickly and you can tell their confidence is at 100 now.
Yeah first they were saying duke was overrated and would be the first top seed to lose, then it was that they'd lose to msu then Texas tech...now it's "the refs" helping them win since they keep winning. People are so lame

I don't have cable TV. It was greatly appreciated to see the highlights of the game and the blue devils won. I love college ball.They play from the heart and the love of the game and not getting millions of dollars to do it.
I know this is ncaa choosing, but there's no reason why that Saturday night basketball game wasn't on CBS
if you go to the NCAA website, they have a live stream going for every game (you have a number of hours you can watch for free) but if you have more than one device that's easily a few hours and more, I've been hooking the laptop up to the tv and watching that way, hope you can watch the next few games live!

As a Polish-American, I watched with pride as Coach K dominated in the 90s and beyond. I felt empowered since a guy with a long Polish name had such great success. Thank you Coach K for all the great memories and being a great inspiration. We'll miss you.

Same here. He is the safest pick among so-called top three (Chet, Smith, Paolo). Paolo is the most polished player among three at this stage, others might have higher ceiling but many never reach the ceiling in NBA anyway.

v Gonzaga. It was a bummer to go from the buzz of that win to the sting and disappointment 48 hrs later from the loss to Duke 😐Wish the kids would have had more time to enjoy their Sweet 16 win. Yet, that's not to whine cause I'm aware the tournament has long been set up like that. I also hear excellent things about next year's class
of Hogs, and I eagerly look forward to the '22-'23 season and seeing how Coach Muss adapts and adjusts.

The ACC had a losing record vs. all 7 major conference during the regular season...The ACC did manage a 1-0 record vs Gonzaga and a .500 3-3 record vs. the American conference, but all other major conferences the ACC was below .500...That doesn't seem to good... You're right, Duke is pretty good, but I was referring to the overall win/loss record of the ACC vs other major conferences.

Disappointed in my Razorbacks we had a lot of unnecessary fouls. Notae has to make better decisions we also need another big man to go alongside Jaylin Williams along with another guard that can shoot the 3. We’ll be back next year
I agree. Some unnecessary fouls from Notae and Au'Diese Toney. Usually they play smarter. Yet, aside from this game Toney had a solid season and GREAT tournament. Toney continually had tough defensive assignments, and he kept rising to the challenge 👏🔥🐗
