I just installed them in my ‘19 MT-09SP. The adaptors that go with the bar ends now have threads all the way through so you can use the smaller screw. Screw the adaptor into the handlebar then the bar end with the screw into the adaptor and you’re done. No more fiddling with the star washer and nut anymore! Also the small shim fits perfect so no more cutting. Thanks for the video.
those bushings are there to stop you scratching the bar ends...its a damn good idea...I had the same issue when fitting these mirrors on my brother's MV Agusta Brutale 800 and quickly realised why...simple answer so when you tighten the mirrors on, it doesn't damage the finish on the bar ends... we used a different rizoma bar end...the one with the rubber inner sleeve that when you tighten down expands the inner rubber sheath gripping the inside of the bar, which eliminated the need for an additional adaptor..ohhh and there are 2 models of the universal bar ends...one like yours and one with a finished full sized cap..
Haha I did the same as you trying to get the stock bar end weights off. I’m going to clamp these mirrors straight onto the stock ends anyway to see if the vibrations are tolerable. Bought the M Factory mirrors and not real happy with them. These are $170 per mirror in Australia!!
I miss watching your videos. Everything I have done to my bike you have shown me how..do u think I can put handguard s and bar end mirrors on my fz09? Thanks for everything you do
I'm a bit confused. I have the same mirrors, and it has a slight buzz, just as you say. I been told that you are suppose to add more weight to the bar. In the video you pointed out that the bar end you bought weighs almost nothing but it helps? Can you please explain? Because like you said in the video I don't want to choose between not seeing behind me, or vibration in the hand. Thanks
Hey man wondering if you can help me out here. I bought the yamaha adapter and the rizoma adapter but the screws that came with it are too small. They don't go all the way through the yamaha adapter. Also, they thread into the yamaha adapter rather than slip through like they do in your video. Got any ideas?
So are you telling me, those universal adapters that weigh practically nothing, didn't really add much vibration to the bars? If so I'll just buy the 20$ adapters and say fuck the stock adapters (was gonna go buy PVC and cut them to create a washer for spacing and use the stock bar neds). Thanks
Most handlebar s are 7/8s or 1 inch. I believe. Unless you go maybe to clipons. All the bar end mirrors I've gotten, 2 sets, come with all the adaptors for either size bars. Use a tape measure and measure yours. Decent bar end mirrors are so inexpensive you can almost experiment. Both sets I've bought are very to quality, and they were under 20 bucks each set.
Hey I just bought a 2018 MT09 and I was wonder if you had felt vibrations around 4500 5000 rpm and had vibration in the mirrors. This is with the stock mirrors and bar ends.
TwoWheelObsession Thanks for the response. Do you think they would come from factory out of sync. And is it something that should be done at every service you think.
I know and I´m sorry for stating that your part number does not match. Just to clarify, the right part will be this correct? www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rizoma-bar-end-adapter-yamaha
I have the same kit but the screw on the right bar end weight keeps spinning and it doesn't tighten. I don't want to spin forever because I'm afraid to break the adapter. Do you have any suggestion?
You have to fully torque it before installing on the bars. You need to remove it (fun fun) and do it over. If it loosens on the bike, it will never tighten.
What I don't like about bar end mirrors is the size. I like a bigger mirror like the factory ones but both bar end mirrors I've bought have been like half the visual size of the oem s. Has anyone found decent size bar end mirrors? Preferably oval or teardrop style. Thanks. I have a 2005 bonneville t100. And the mirrors i bought fit right on the factory weights. And they were like 18 bucks.
Rizoma Reverse Radial Bar Ends are significantly larger. I just purchased a set after searching all over the internet for large bar end mirrors. I had the CRG Arrow Bar End Mirrors, and the Rizomas are much larger than the CRGs.
In the previous clip you've talked about how your big hand tend to hang over the edge of the handle bar, why you've originaly intended to use the OEM bar ends, just putting the mirror at the end of the bar end.(12:30min) When replacing to arizoma bar end, you've lost this space. Are you comfortable riding like that? How do you experience this? Thanks.

Thank you, I tried multiply wrenches on that inside looking bolt as well lol
LOL!!! I bought the CRG which are 95 each plus 50 for their adapters. Yea they’re going back!!

same price in canada
Needed this video to validate the ends for my mirrors on the moto guzzi v7.. wasted a lot of money trying to get these installed..
4:22 it happened to me too went crazy looking for the Socket lol

Whoa! you got a winner there sir!

Thanks Bryan I'm looking to put these on my FZ-07.
You'll love um!
Whoever designed this setup clearly enjoys their wine.
At 12:10 you mention that you ordered Yamaha OEM Mirror Hole Plugs - do you have a part number for these? Thanks!

Do you know the Yamaha part # for mirror plugs?

Do a TBS. Follow your maint schedule in the manual.

Your part # on the bar end adaptor does not match the ones on the video. Shouldn't it be the MA600B? thanks
Yes it does match and you can do it multiple ways. I can't vouch for how vibration is other ways than how I ended up doing it.
I just asked cause when searching at revzilla took me to this www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rizoma-end-mount-mirror-proguard-adapter-yamaha
I didn't buy from revzilla and that's not what I used.

Nice, what size bolts come with the Rizoma bar ends? M6 or M8?
I didn't measure them - but they are smaller than OEM
are the mirrors have a convex to them? in order to get a wider angle of view? thx
no
@@TwoWheelObsession ok thanks....but is the view decent or very limited when looking through them?

Sounds like I'm gonna have a lot of fun! thank you.

are those the stock levers you have on the FZ-09?
+b DuChateau no. See my how to playlist
Nice
ugh....these things are $130 dollars a piece.. and then to buy the bar ends as well.
I am going to sing to a glass now to fact check
