    To get it straight the uppermost hole on each side should be 197cm from the floor

    I put parcel packaging with bubble wrap inside at the back of my board works a treat. Reduced thudding sound by loads. Also very easy to turn the board around when a certain patch is getting worn.

    I was using a stand until wispa turned up. Brilliant. I cant see it move when dats hit at all. Was easy to put up although i think my bro in law would not manage but he cant put curtain poles up... This has to out perform the kerrala as that still has screws into the brick. Its the vibration going into the wall that creates the noise travel. Brilliant invention

      That's what i have thought all along, the noise is due in part to the vibration going into the wall through the raw plug and hanging bracket..

      Dart boards, Silent air pumps for fish tanks and also old style ceiling fans when screwed tightly to building send noisy vibrations through entire building. The wispa is a totally new concept that works. I've tested it fully.

    Right guys, I will do an honest review. I installed mine a few days ago and it does make a big difference. I couldn’t play darts after 930 because of thumping noise going through the house and I’m sure the neighbours house. my bedroom is right next door to the darts room and now we can play through the night you will get a slight noise where the darts hit the board which you will never silent A little overpriced for what it is also people are struggling to get it straight. Mine is exactly level. I used a FLAT spirit level Which I purchased from Lidl’s on the wall And sat the lower brackets on it, marked the holes and it was perfect. Did get some creaking noise from the darts hitting the board for about a day and now it doesn’t creek. Hope this helps.

      I had the problem that my Winmau Sourround didn't fit into the Wispa and was hanging pretty loose. and every time I pulled out my darts it swung extremely. That annoyed me extremely. Should that be so?

    Great system, certainly quiet.
    To answer some comments below I have found…
    1. To level the system it would be helpful to have somewhere to level the system, it’s a small pain if you don’t have tools are are not good at diy
    2. I find it stable, no rattles after a throw
    3. Your surround is a bit fiddley to install but you need a surround to make it solid!
    4. Silly complaint, the blade 6 triple core doesn’t have registration holes!
    All round I think it’s a good bit of kit, worth the spend in my opinion, and I’m sure they will continue to improve the design,

      The triple core does have the holes. Just under the carbon wrap. Easily pushed through with a finger

    Ive been using wispa a while now and am very pleased. Ive noticed alot of negativity from people who have not used one. Why would you comment when you have no experience? Fools.
    When installed correctley it doesnt wobble. From the players point of view. Ive made a vid to prove this as this is a cracking product. I can play at night now without disturbing anyone. Beware of trolls. Everyone Ive come across that has tried a wispa loves it

    Makes a huge difference. Got it so the board is spot on straight. But did use a self levelling laser and a protractor. The one failing in this video and the instructions that come with it, is that at no point does it show how to put it up straight.

    For anyone who says “it doesn’t wobble” - why does it wobble so badly in the video then, just when he is attaching the surround? Did he install it wrongly? In the official video? That system looks like a wobbly joke to me. Not to mention that it can’t be leveled.

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's easily leveled. The upmost hole on either side measure 197cm from the floor. If you can put a curtain pole up straight it's a doddle, if not then get the man that puts your curtain poles up to do it.

    You need a winmau board to use this.. it doesent work on target aspar.

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use any board. There is a cross in the center of the backboard. Poke a darrt through it and that's where your board center is. Turn disc until top mark is in line with the 20 on the board.

    • @piechpiwoprosze433
      @piechpiwoprosze433 หลายเดือนก่อน

      no, there are no registration holes on Aspar. I had that board but had to buy a Blade 6, then it worked great.

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will work with any board. Small screw through wispa disc center marked by red cross into center of board. Turn to position so top red mark is in middle of 20 then fit the hangers in that position. Simple

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didnt mention registration holes. Yes winmau boards are more straightfoward to fit but it can be used on any board. Just get it central and straight@piechpiwoprosze433

    Yeah the whole “how do you get it level” question is a big flaw to me.
    I can’t use a spirit level, cause you cant level a circle, believe me I tried before realising how stupid I was being
    I can’t measure from the floor up to the top fixings because A: my floor might not be level and B: I don’t know what the measurement should be, I’d just keep measuring the left and right side until they happened to be exactly the same….bit of an arse ache
    You can’t realistically eye it up, because to do so you need to mount the board, and then you can’t see the mark you made for the bullseye
    Seriously, this seems a massive miss on someone’s part
    “Make sure the wires are at 45 degree angles”…….Mark protractor eyes Webster may find that possible but the rest of us mortals cannot
    It’s a big issue, once the ring is set to the wall, the squareness of the board cannot be changed. It’s got to be spot on, and this kit does not make it easy to ensure it is

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Top hole on one side of wispa put 197cm from the floor then use a level to get the other top hole or measure 197cm from the floor. It's easier than fitting a curtain pole

    • @omeraktash
      @omeraktash หลายเดือนก่อน

      This will only be possible if you can fix the board without a bracket which is used to hang the board. Figure that out and you have a more silent board than wispa.

  • @TYTHEOWL
    @TYTHEOWL 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Don't buy one of these. Cardboard disc snaps easily and is then unusable, with Winmau refusing to sell the part on its own - and it's virtually impossible to level. Horrible product, I'm now awaiting a refund.
    Edit: now I've had a couple hours to cool down and figure it out, I've got it as level as I can (still not perfect though) and the sound reduction definitely works, kids can't hear a thing in their room. However, the wobbling of the board as others has mentioned is just horrible, tried tensioning the cables and just doesn't make it much better.
    Cardboard piece is also done for, luckily I already made the holes required in the board so don't need it, but when I get a new board i'm screwed.

    • @clynton1
      @clynton1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if you mark the top 2 holes on each side at 197cm its level and bullseye is correct mate

    • @TYTHEOWL
      @TYTHEOWL 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I managed to get it as straight as possible by mounting the board to the frame first then holding the frame up until visibly straight - double checked with tape measure and was almost bang on.
      But from the Cardboard disc breaking easily to the system itself being a wobbly mess, I don't think I'll be keeping it. Giving it 24 hours more of play to see if I can come to terms but not a fan - does its job with sound reduction I'll give that, but the added wobbliness puts me off loads.@@clynton1

      Also a surround acts as a damper so no wobble. Winmau surrounds fit tight into wispa and round board. Fitted correctly you see no movement when darts hit

      Would love a video on how to fit it properly then! As I followed the video multiple times and after getting it straight have still yet to make the wobble stop. Cables tensioned, different surrounds tried, winmau board🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ @@DavidLee-te2oz

  • @trashmonzter

    What a stupid system.😆 You can't even turn the board without loosening the screws and ropes first. I stand by my Karella silencer/ insultation. Maybe it costs five euros more, but I have tested German quality, my dartboard doesn't wobble arround like a rubber ball and I can turn the board whenever I want. Just a proof again, that not everything that is new is better.🤷‍♂️

    • @DavidLee-te2oz
      @DavidLee-te2oz 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don't have to loosen the ropes at all. Just move 4 screws. Lift off unscrew. Screw back in. No prob. I bet if you ran a decibel test the wispa performs better. As for wobble. I can tell you've not used one as its super stable

      @@DavidLee-te2oz no its not super stable, its terrible. I throwing darts fast, and on this system i have to wait 2 seconds after every dart to stop wobbleing. This is just not for serious dart playing. For having a fun time, maybe...but not for real playing
