Fantastic video. The Jcb 3cx was and is one of the best excavation machines. Especially the grey cab turbo. I bought a black cab recently. Had the 4in1, pallet forks, extra dig, 4wd. When I bought her the 4wd was shot and I've completely reconditioned the whole 4wd system. Shafts, seals, bushings, and differential. I also gave her one hell of a paint and a service. It was all worth it as she sings like a hummingbird now and pulls like a freight train. Fantastic machine. Also. I have subscribed.😉✌️
Nice, we have a grey cab 4wd with 4 in 1 and pallet forks and sliding boom, shes losing power when were driving it on the road like it has no power in it at all, we dont know what the problem is
Had a black cab brand new in the day .... cracking machine , still working with a local demolition firm .... that one you got there new seals and king post rebushed , shed be sound .... I still operate an up to date 3cx contractor ..... to be honest I’m on my 6th and I’ve only had 1 that gave me problems , nothing major just electronics playing up
You know, for its age, its still very capable of putting in a good days work. A few £££ on tidying this one up and it would do another 30 years no problem for a quarter of the cost of a new one.
Nice Video! In my Area Backhoe Loaders are not arround, since smaller mobile Excavators like O&K MH4 or Atlas and such where popular ever since cable operated machines came out of fashion. I still like the look of the vintage JCB Machines could anyone explain me what is the difference between Hammermaster, Sitemaster etc.? I thought every one of them could be equipped with a hammer?
Hi, the backhoe is becoming more rare in my part of the world too, they are quite popular in London still on the road work but not so much outside of the city. I believe the hammermaster had a bigger Aux pump to run the hammer and of course the reinforced back arm with no sliding dipper. Its not something they do anymore so I guess the back arm is strong enough these days to do hammer work with the slider retracted.
I've got the same one. Do you know where I can find a parts catalog for this machine? it`s quiete hard for me to find seal kits in south america. thanks
One of these was the very first thing I learned how to drive when I was a lot younger. Used to love every chance I got to drive it.

Its a shame they aren't still regarded as the go to machine for sites, in the right hands they can really turn out some work.
@@Olliegunns 360 ops hate them generally, but the versatility of them.... My main work is council hire and muck away
Nice video Ollie Thanks

Sounds like the hydraulics are strained
On this old girl - everything was strained! Who knows when it was last serviced but they are incredibly tough old machines

left door missing as usual ...... LOL
You’d load that way quicker with the rear end and a 3 ft bucket ..
Not that rear end I wouldn't! My lack of time on X pattern combined with the slop in the slew doesn't make for much productive work!
3cx are a doddle compared with 3c
