Massive misunderstanding about handicaps in comments. I could only find the scratch/slope rating for the blue, white & red tees. Blues being a 73 scratch rating So a +3 could shoot 2 under par 40% of the time they play. White tees had a scratch rating of 70, so the back markers, or gold tees or tiger tees they played off would have had to be 75 or 76. Let’s say it’s 76, then over 18 holes you’d expect a +3 handicapper to shoot 1over 40% of the time. Grants for sure a +3 or maybe better. Great content fellas Keep it up

But that's because of the course. The fairway is a nice clean carpet to hit off of and you should get relief from divots

Plus 3 handicap means you are better than scratch (or par) and your best scores calculated to be a plus 3 means you finish below par by several strokes. It’s also calculated by the difficulty of the course and slope rating. If it rated as a true 72 then a plus 3 handicap would be expected to shoot 1-3 strokes under that number for example

Being able to move a ball out of a divot would be the most abused rule in golf. It has to stay how it is.
