I totally forgot about it for a long time, and I went searching for it when the internet was kind of a new thing in our household, but couldn't find anything. I thought I dreamed the whole thing up. I didn't bother searching for it after that, since I forgot. I'm glad it wasn't a dream!
You should do another one of these videos and talk about another Rankin Bass Classic that I remember from my childhood. The leprechauns Christmas gold. It was a Saint Patrick's Day special, obviously, and watching this video reminded me of it. It goes in the weird category smushed right at the edge of the bad category. On that note, the life adventures of Santa Claus? If you want to see that in a better format check out the cartoon version. That's one of my favorites and it's weird but it's really good. Not as good as the claymation special, but still. A good version of a great story. Merry Christmas

The others I remember watching, other than the 2 Rudolf and Jack Frost films, were Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and an Easter variant called The Easter Bunny Is Coming To Town. Also, even though it's not Rankin Bass there's another underrated stop motion film called The Nutcracker Fantasy which only recently finally got a DVD release this fall.
I feel like any of these shows could've fallen into any of these categories, the good ones looked weird, the bad ones looked good & the weird ones looked bad.

I discovered the life and adventures of Santa Claus last Christmas when searching for other rankin bass specials & OMG MY JAW DROPPED IT WAS SO WEIRD! I felt like I was having a fever dream or something but NO THIS IS REAL LIFE & REALLY EXISTS!! I could not handle myself watching it. I was laughing so hard & kept having to pause it to comprehend what I was watching. I don’t even remember if I mad it through... I’m gonna go watch that again & hopefully make it all the way through. I wouldn’t call it so bad it good. It’s more so weird it’s bad. Cause usually rankin bass are so weird it’s good but omg not.......this..........🤯
