@@Aerialphotovito lots like that one when I tell people about that. I also do that when waiting in long lines that don’t move. I’ll just take off one of my shoes in the line and go sit down, then when the line moves, I’ll get back up, move my shoe, sit back down. Repeat as necessary 😬
Hello Tyron, I’m Osama Khider. You used to be my instructor at Sunrise, that challenging school! I'm thrilled to tell you that your former student is now officially B787 type-rated with Saudia Airlines. Thank you for your patience and support during my training. Wishing you all the best buddy !
@@Sam-ps3dh HEEEEEY Osama!!!! So great to hear from you!! I’m SO jealous you are 787 typed! That’s what I want to fly! Maybe in about 2 more years or so lol!! Makes me so proud and I hope you are enjoying it to the fullest!!
@@AeroNerd Great to hear from you! The 787 is an amazing aircraft, and I'm loving every minute of flying it. I’m sure you’ll get there soon enough just keep at it and stay focused. I can totally see you in the 787 cockpit, and I bet you'll love it as much as I do. Thanks for the kind words it really means a lot. Looking forward to seeing you flying the Dreamliner soon! Take care Maverick !
I watch one of your other videos about what to expect in the airlines and this one was great too, just passed my commercial flight and starting on multi engine rating and I was wondering what regional are you flying for. It kinda looks like envoy or skywest? What is hard to get hired?
Good video, Im about to start my private pilot certificate training coming up in December. My end goal is to me an airline pilot. Do you have any suggestions or tips for a newbie?
@@bsdontop1000 I have lots of videos to answer your question! Checkout the AeroNerd Flight Training playlist. There are SO many videos such as where to start, best tips on getting started, etc..
3:06 Do you mind elaborating a little more on this part lol? Is it an 8 hour wait every time or did you just throw that number? Are you really required to stay in there?
Great question! Check out my Airline Pilot Reserves video which answers this in detail. Depending on which airline you join, minimum HOT reserve time (meaning sitting at the airport on stand-by) is 8 hours for most airlines. You may get called within the 8 hours which is what we always hope for, but if you don’t get called, you literally sit there for 8 hours at the airport. You can spend that time in the crew room, explore the airport, go to the USO if you are military, watch Netflix… whatever you can do to new you occupied until you get called in, or your HOT reserve time expires and you go home, or back to your crash pad/hotel room.
great video Ty I like the shoe compass . outstanding tip literally !

Osama, did you go straight onto the 787 or did you fly a narrow body first?
I've posted a pic of us when you passed your private checkride! Check it out on the Patreon page! Looking sharp!!
Wow mashallah - love that!
Saudia definitely has a fast track to the big jets for the right candidates
