It does say on the Rare Beauty website that these lip oils leave your lips stained. I found that if you eat somewhere with oil, the stain will come off easily and you're left back to your naked lip color. They taste slightly sweet to me, not so much chemically. I'm 66 yo amd and love Serenity. It stays put without the oil migrating around the mouth. I also love the Vulnerable lip balm in very berry. Great makeup line that doesn't feel heavy and holds up well.

Can’t wait to try it , i like the look of makeup but hate the feel of it and hate to keep having to touch up. , so if I can get a make that is really comfortable and you don’t have to keep reapplying would be great .

I will say, I’ve had to reapply a few times throughout the day when I wear this lip oil. it shouldn’t be an issue if you like the stain that it leaves though!

Being that I'm MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof NW30, but have blue-green eyes and dark hair, I *KNEW* that Serenity was the one that I would get tons of use out of. So, as soon as Sephora got it back in stock, I jumped on that! Ordered Joy also, because summer in Arizona is no joy 🔥

Definitely changes/darken color after first swipe,but then if you build up layers/reapply through the day it becomes brighter
