Fun video! Thank you. I bought a super clean terapagos ex (rainbow) today for $95, shipping included. Normally I would wait months and months for a card to drop in price, I’ve never bought a card this soon. To me, the rainbow terapagos ex is such a beautiful card and I am treating it like a piece of art. Maybe I will grade it, but not sure just yet. If it drops further than $80 I will buy another and for sure grade the best out of the 2. I enjoy your videos, you can lie if the numbers and data is showing, even if it’s market manipulation. I hope Pokémon continues with the look of these rainbow Tera card art style cards. It would be nice to see one card like this in each set. The other card I would have loved to see would be the silver tempest lugia v alt art. So so stunning. I have one that is incredibly off center(if I grade I hope it’s an error) but the picture is 10/10.
Hi Ryan, Love your vids so much. Incredibly underrated channel and you’re a pioneer with these kinds of data deep dive with your excel sheets, keep it up!! I got to thinking about why the Charizard 151 PSA 10 has spiked so dramatically recently. One concept I’m surprised is not more talked about that you bring up a lot (and coined the term for?! Maverick..) is gem rate. I feel like when this value is ratio against art quality/species popularity (admittedly more subjective), is the most underrated indicator of singles performance (which in turn affects sealed opening rate -> sealed value). Can you please do a video with deep dives of maybe the top 10 hits of gem rates for each SV set, then overall gem rate of the top 10? And how that might connect to, 1, 3, 6, 12+ month trends? (Or whatever you think makes sense with this concept exploration, just spitballing) Thanks again!! P.S. Have you considered starting a patreon? I would definitely throw down five dollars a month for an exclusive video or two and an opportunity for Q&A. Like I said, I think you’re a pioneer when it comes to presenting this information that I think a lot of people either want to do but don’t have the time/ skills, or don’t realize they need to make their money smarter. I’d “early invest” in you if I could 😜 but just hopeful you early invest in yourself before others start copying you!
I’m honestly really excited to see the top chase and stellar crown do so well. It’s hard to imagine hold that $100 line but I’m all for it. What I don’t understand is how temporal forces with known Pokemon cannot have a $100 chase. It’s a tougher thing to complete. It’s a tougher set to get pulled from and it’s much larger. It baffles me lol.
I got into collecting pokmon cards again after over 15 years and i immediately spent over $500 just buying cards from the base set like a charizard and some full arts 😅
Is there a way to filter by number of transactions or is this based off of a monthly article/email? I was getting a monthly email from TCGP that was supposed to break down this info, but all it does it lead me to a common trainer card.
I think the goudon and roaring moon will be neck to neck with groudon maybe having an edge in the beginning but will be overtaken by some point by roaring moon. Both Pokémon are popular gen 2 Pokémon, both had mega evolutions but only Salamance has this new ancient version that will be loved by current Pokémon fans into the future.
