Steve Winwood (born 12 May 1948) is an award winning English songwriter and musician whose genres include blue-eyed soul, R&B, rock, blues-rock, pop-rock, and jazz. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays the electric organ, synthesizers, bass, drums, guitar, mandolin, violin and other strings. In addition to his solo career, Winwood was a key member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and Go.

I remember hearing this song for the first time when I was 5 years old!!💭 I didn’t completely understand all of the lyrics at that age, but I loved the synthesized percussion, and guitars!!🎸🎺🎹 I also appreciate the melody in a musical application sense!👨🏾‍🎓 I think this song is prime example of Award-winning songwriting, and producing!!🏆🥇🥁🎹🎼🎻🛩🔊🎵🎶. At 3:12, that doesn’t sound like a normal violin. Is it an electric violin? I for one always thought they were bagpipes making that sound, and this is the only live version that has that sound in it.

Actually, his signature instrument is the organ. But then again, he's one hell of a guitar player as evidenced by his work in Traffic. Actually he's one hell of a multi-instrumentalist!
