You might be right. This song has to be one of the most beautiful songs in popular music. David's music was so melodic and soulful and his use of alternate tunings was among the best.
So good to hear this quality music again;they were so very far ahead of their time. Loved them then and love them now. David is part of history ,just several days after he left us , but when we hear his sensational music he lives again. RIP David. Thank you for a life time of incomparable music.

Masterpiece, when Crosby & Nash where in there prime in my opinion they were the best duo of all time and yes that includes Simon & Garfunkel,i will admit some of the songs were better,but just a few,both of them were so talented & just brilliant songwriting
I'd give my right nut to have that guitar David uses in this performance. That is the richest, purest sounding acoustic I have ever heard (of course, it also makes a difference who is playing it). I forget what the model is, but I think Martin did a modern remake of it. The original ones (if I remember correctly), if you can find one today, can run up to 70-80 THOUSAND DOLLARS! Hell, even the remakes are expensive enough, far more than what the average person can afford. Man I want one so bad!
They are both playing Martin D45s with consecutive serial numbers,, stills and young also have one, they all went on a Martin binge one day wihen their Atlantic record cheques came through 4 Martins with consecutive serial numbers, Crosby now uses an OLsen like James Taylor.... He said its better than the Martins......hmm not for me, but OLsen gave to him $20,000 guitar...
