Today we'll be modifying the Sideshow Collectibles life-size figure of The Child, Geeks & Geekettes! This was a really fun mod to do :)

I lost my mom a couple of days ago (she lost her battle with lung cancer). Seeing your mom full of awesome energy, that my mom had as well, made me smile.
Awesome way to make the figure posable.

Dude I know it doesn’t change anything but I am so sorry for your loss. She drives me crazy but I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my mum, especially to a battle with cancer.

xxxgothmanxxx has done this already. This link is how to cannibalize the 7" one with the voice box for use with the 13" Mattel one. th-cam.com/video/BDytzAc0XsE/w-d-xo.html although I have to say I actually like the armature he used originally in another video. th-cam.com/video/GdfdK_HepY8/w-d-xo.html (this link starts at the part where he shows the mod, skipping the review of the toy) I'm not sure why he did not use this wire for the inside when he did the newer mod, but that's his choice.
He also showed a cheap and easy to make a pram that does not require the use of laser cutters or 3-D printers, unlike so many others. th-cam.com/video/WdSa8Q3ByFQ/w-d-xo.html
SKS Props also has a great vid on how to mod your Mattel Baby Yoda/Grogu so he can hold the control stick knob and/or a blue cookie magnetically, just like the Sideshow version does. th-cam.com/video/5y2tF9MEVC0/w-d-xo.html (It does require removing Baby's hands--eek!--but it turns out that they are zip-tied in and easy to put back on.) The shift knob is created using a ping pong ball and foam, and the cookie is all foam, so again, this is an inexpensive way to mod the baby.

It’s $400 because they’re all hand painted and taken from the molds used to create the original grogu puppet they really are incredible pieces

She'd try to prank you or mess with you in the most obnoxious ways. Don't get me wrong, she is probably a great lady, clearly her son turned out well. Maybe it's just nervous behavior.

This is a stupid comment that I write. But I wanted to. With the techniques I learned from watching your videos, I ended up using them to help my mom make the Advent wreath. Never expect to do it. I really wasn't expecting to use costum techniques for something like that. And she is very Catholic and especially at this time. Due to her quarantine, it is difficult to get materials to make the Advent wreath, and she is already 63 years old. So by recycling, we were able to do this. And using the techniques I learned, thanks to you, I look more than good. We were able to make golden metallic effects with pine cones and those little simple things that Christmas demands. I just wanted to comment on that. and thank you. Today he helped me in these fucking days where we don't know where the hell we are going to finish, to get a smile from my mom.

Hey Chris! I just ordered an epic mando helmet. Coming at the perfect time because where I live I get quite a bit of snow haha. I’ll be able to intimidate my sister and her friends as I walk in the snow with my helmet! I love your cosplay man. Keep doing what your doing.

Mums looking fabulous as always 🥰👌 Great mod, I would have used a stuffed body and added the torso weight to that to make it more lifelike and also easier to add the wiring. He's just so damn cute 😭♥️

Yeh i thought the same when i was looking to order it, That is the sideshow "premium" line for you though.. their best work for poseables are the 1/6 line... i have the rare Sideshow 1/6 General Grievous and it is godly.
It's a statue though. Statues aren't posable.
@@DarrenCarnallCustoms makes you wonder why its a statue in the first place. It loses a lot of the character and cuteness by making it look up like that. It would look way better looking forward or down. You wouldve expected the head to atleast be articulated especially since the competition (hot toys) is releasing an articulated version at the same pricepoint
@@DarrenCarnallCustoms yes i know that,.. like i said,.. Sideshow "premium" line,.. which are statues, not 1/4 or 1/6th grade posables.. for this there should have been a hybrid,.. it's priced at like $700CAD, for a coat and a head sculpt basically,.. that's not that great lol

Great job. Those The Child replicas aren't cheap so I tip my hat to you taking the time to do this. I'd be worried at destroying one if I did that!
What you should of done with the new bendy joints, was coat it in flexy rubber to hide what you customised to match the rest of him like it was never altered and also added some fur to the ear edges.
If only there was a grogu sold with moveable libs and looked this good
