I was a big fan of Di Canio - but he had a group of unprofessional players to manage, a director of football who didn't have a clue & a weak board who didn't back him.
Back then those sunderland players where pathetic they clearly didnt care and in the end they didnt play for the manager or the fans and i feel di canio wasent backed the way he should and he was unfairly sacked.

From what I’ve heard tactically he’s a brilliant manager but struggled with the man management side at a high level.
