This United team needs to be brought to the 1st team, I'd like to see at least 50% of these youngsters transition to the first team! And Wheatley... goodness, his first touch and technique is solid, only needs to finish better, pick his shots, maybe always aim for bottom right or left, if he can improve his finishing, certainly see a United quality striker in Ethan...

Amass need to stop making silly mistakes like that otherwise he will never get a chance in the 1st team , he's lucky he can fix that mistake but PL and European competition is way different than junior competition, one silly mistake like that could decide the entire game

wasn’t an U21 game. It was a professional men’s side, against an U21’s side.

We struggled to play out from the back just like the senior team but all credit going forward and a great comeback win
Obviously they won't all make it and I noticed one player who will remain nameless, in particular making poor decisions and that's something which is instinctive and cannot be taught. However there were more positives overall, especially the lad Wheatley whose footwork caught my eye! Great team spirit, well done lads 👍

@@crooner4848 🤦♂️ look at the team that played at Lincoln on Saturday, and then look at the team that played last night. They had a few first team squad players and a lot of kids, including a 15 year old starting at centre half 🤦♂️
Ennis is a good player but plays more for himself than the team. He doesnt really like to pass to teammates in better position, he'd rather shoot by himself

Too much touch on the ball and individual dribbling hence being caught out. Get and pass is what Barnsley are playing. Man utd should have the pass and go fluidity.

Too much individualistic play and dont see much of pressing like what the first team is trying to do. The defence is often caught napping. United tend to produce midfielders and forwards from the academy but very few defenders make it to the first team. Noticed also that man united academy players tend to be smaller in build compared to visiting teams.
They are smaller because they are much younger. The United U21's is basically an U18/19 squad, whilst the U18's is a U16/17 squad.

When I made that comment on one of Steve Howson's videos in which he was pushing for him to be in the first team squad, he basically told me I was an idiot. The kid needs time to develop and pushing him too early could destroy him.
