    Long time follower Shawn. I lost track of your page over the years and found it again. It's amazing how natural the progression of the swing and the swing thought is with your teachings. I recently changed to a low tee and my exact thought was hit this like a fairway wood. Boom! Started hitting my driver at least 20 yards farther and straighter. Now when I do tee high, I still gain distance, but the swing thought just naturally progressed with my game following what you taught from years ago.

    I was really sceptical about Shawn's message about facing the club and not the ball etc. when I first starting watching this channel. That was becasue all the 'good' players I watched did not seem to do this. Anyway to cut a long story short I adopted Shawn's methodolgy and have not driven the ball longer, more consistently and 'as wanted' i.e. hit it high or low as the situation demanded ever. I also learnt why those 'good' players also had a few choice words when the 'wheels fell off' after 2 or 3 holes. This WIG stuff is magic! Keep up the good work S!!

    Hi Shawn, I was scrolling through looking for one of your bunker videos and came across this video. I don't know how I missed it, but WOW!!🤯. Aiming high above a target tree for the high tee worked perfectly and using my fence for the low tee perfect also. Like you said, no way could I hit the lower tee swinging at the high trees no matter how I tried but hit it every time swinging at the fence. Thanks for this video. I can't wait to try it on the range/ course.

    Great video, Shawn. When I look at the set-up, it appears that the only difference is ball position. For high shot, the ball is more towards the heel, half of the ball is above the club head, and the Club is at the center of the stance. with a closed stance. For low shot, it appears everything is the same, except the ball is now just off-of the club face and the ball is level with the club head. Am I correct?

    Hello Shawn! I really love your videos and after a few month where I „tried“ other things in my golf game in order to get more consistent I‘m coming back to you, cause now I start to understand what your advices and tips really mean. By far one of the best teachers out there, unfortunately thousands of miles away from where I am. My question Shawn is regarding the driver especially: is there a chance you could make a video one day where you show us in detail the complete setup. What I mean is, I understand you have a closed stance, I know you have a strong grip with a slightly closed clubface (Sav and Moe even very strong and I estimate pretty closed) , I think at address your clubface aims in direction of the target (?) and your initial swing path is in direction of the intermediate target. I‘d love to see a video where we could see that in detail, with some close ups of the club head and even more appreciated if we could see that from a top view. I wish you all the best for 2022 and many thanks for your great work!

    Looking forward to trying this. It didn't look like the position in stance changed much ? That's a lot more variation in tee height than I normally use. Thanks

    • @CosmicRBG
      @CosmicRBG 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ball position is different for the hi and low shot. Ball for hi drive forward in stance, tilt so can strike up on ball. lo drive is more inside heel(center/balance feel).. for sweeping turf motion. Teeing hi just aids in being able to swing up on the ball, chipping tee if ball wasn't there(would just top it if tee'd low).

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the ball position does move a tad more forward, the club face needs to close a bit more and the tee height needs to go up.

  • @Noximus03
    @Noximus03 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When I work the tips in this video I must be leaving the club face open. I checked some slow motion video's and my body position closely mimics yours in the vid, but I wind up hitting a ball that starts straight out and fades/slices to the right about 150 yards after launch.......I just cant seem to close the face, and I have no clue how to get there with this particular set up. The only consistent thing about my drive with this set up is my ball landing on the adjoining fairway. LONG, but still on a different hole. Darn it, I wanted this to work for me, too.

      Most Golfers have no idea what closing the club face means; have you turned it 45 degrees closed with the same grip and hit a few hooks yet? Then how is your brain supposed to know what to do when that reference does not exist?

    Hi Shawn, been watching your videos religiously but I can't seem to crank up my distance appreciably. I have been wondering...on a scale of 1 to 10 (where 10 is the highest), where would you place the importance of the back arm for power? I am strongly right handed dominant, but golf left handed. I don't seem to get a lot of power in my drives. So, I can't seem to get the my distance past 210 with any consistency. Thanks for you videos. They have been helpful.
