But he's not holding everyone accountable, he's holding the qb accountable, no one in their right minds would play behind this OL, it's dangerous.
What about holding coaches accountable? Has this team looked well prepared to anyone in the first two games?

Canales has been wanting his shot at head coach for a while. You can tell he’s been preparing and thinking through what kind of coach he wants to be. If nothing else, I think we have the right coach for many years to come.

BRYCE is on contract for 4 years. Bryce needs to sit back, learn, focus, get better, and at some point be ready. The regression this year from Bryce was obvious. He was in a bad situation from day one. He has a chance now to redeem himself and use the talent that God gave him and that is only in his hands. God will help, but he will not do it for you.

@@dreamer5687 There is not a good QB in this draft. It is not a QB draft. Andy will create wins because we have the talent on offense now. Aaron Rodgers sat for 4 years with intermittent playing time. 25% of all top 10 QB picks have success in the first year. Bryce need time. He has 4 years.
im with you everyone is counting him out but if he sat for a year or two i really he can develop into a top 15 qb, my only concern is his athleticism it’s looked bad these last two games but everything looked bad for him

Big, fast, but probably stronger coming out of school and a lot more agile. And his burst off the line is crazy. Let Andy cook this year and maybe next. Bring Jack Plummer up in case Bryce can't get right. I feel better about him than i do Bryce. He got the size and a much stronger arm. If he's not the guy then 2026 will likely be a better crop of QBs

This was a reassuring press conference. I was really worried they were giving up on Bryce which would have been egregious. This makes me support the move knowing this is just a way of letting him gather himself without sacrificing the team’s performance.
Dave Canales you are good Coach, we hope you can take your team better !

I think they missed a great opportunity to at least call this a reset on Bryce’s development and confirm that he is there to learn from watching Andy.

As the head coach, he has to make the hard decisions, and benching Bryce was a hard but needed decision. Canales was not afraid to say it was his decision to bench Bryce. This is probably what Bryce needs to take that next step to improve and build his confidence.
I hope Bryce isn't taking this personally, he needs to use that fire of being benched 💪 show us fans and the media they're wrong and when he gets called up he goes in with a chip on his shoulder ☝️

This coach is awesome. I was at the game this past Sunday. As the players left the field, Coach was there hugging and talking to each player as they left the field. He cares, speaks well, and once everything is straight- Panthers are going to kick some butt!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
QBs get taken down all the time nothing new. When we upgraded the offense everyone in the media gave the Panthers a A and B grade so stop with this mess. He a grown man not a little boy

Best coach we have had in a long time
One thing I'm noticing about this team. This isn't the first time The Panthers have had a struggling QB. However the defense would usually perform well enough to give a chance. Both sides of the ball are terrible. I've been a fan since day one. I've never seen both sides of the ball be bad. 💯
And 3rd down is the Burmuda Triangle for the Panthers always has been.
All we want is the team to compete that’s all the fans are asking hopefully we get that this Sunday vs the Raiders

I think the most valuable thing to take away from all of this is the fact that two games in, Canales had the balls to tell Tapper I’m sitting your guy….and Tapper listened. It lets you know Canales is in charge and will build this team up. And now the players all know they have to perform to co tinge playing. Look out NFC South. Props to Coach DC with that Superman Optimistic Mentality coming from winning seasons with Seattle and Tampa taking the worst team in football that I have so much hometown love for and reminding people that greatness is a process of patience and growth. You have to take a step back to look at the direction of your footsteps and with division titles under his belt and playoff experience Andy is the right guy that Bryce can hopefully learn from in order to lead this team into the next chapter 🖤💙

I remember when Bruce Arians let go of Jameis because he didn’t give us the best chance to win, so many fans were upset, and we won a superbowl a year later.

Mcdaniel seems like a player type coach that’ll actually help Bryce develop his game, fresh start for Bryce , no huge location change. Panthers get something back for him. Tua can mentor him while he decides what to do. Bryce can play, Sam darnold & baker mayfield both showing they have something & both were panthers at one time. Panthers just suck at developing players & are to quick to pull the plug on players imho

Kind of difficult to believe all Canales' positivity when the team never shows what he says.
Bryce is alaoca small qb. He needs to get bigger. As much as i love Dorian Thompson and, how phenomenal he was the nfl makes him look small.

I think he made the right move benching Bryce, otherwise he would be done if we played him this season. He just isnt ready. I was a huge Wilkes guy, but I think Dave is gonna be a good one. The thing is though, we arent as a fan base asking for wins, we are asking for PROGRESS. I think benching Bryce will give him a chance to learn, improve our other young offensive players, and maybe we can start to see the team find a direction. I dont think we should start Bryce any more this year, but let him learn and hopefully get over the shell shock of last season. Then we evaluate.
I am very concerned that he felt we needed to establish the run before we take a shot downfield.
1)Our running back room is not strong. It just isn't.
2)As long as our O is all short game and running, the DBs will cheat up, making separation MUCH harder. The NFL knows that Bryce's long ball is cheeks. Until Bryce develops his long ball and Canales, calls it up, and we connect, our O will suck. You must have a deep threat to keep the DBs honest.

Well atleast coach isn’t babying BY even if we did tank this season this isn’t a QB draft the best player we could get with the first pick is Travis hunter but that won’t make us a playoff team it will just let us have more talent to develope and Bryce is still on contract for 2 more years plus the 5th yr option so even if he sits the rest of this year until the last few weeks of the season (unless Andy pulls a miracle and wins hella games) he can work on slowing the game down more because it looks like it’s still to fast for him and if it does him good and he improves and looks like he will be a good qb then he has 2years to prove he deserves the money but if he still looks the same as this year then atleast we draft the best player we can at the pick we have (de, CB, safety,wr) and then we go for arch manning after making the defense better and giving more weapons

“We wanted to establish the run and we did that” no you didn’t. You had 16 designed run plays. Chuba averaged 6.4 yards a carry and you only gave him 10 carries. His play calling is abysmal so far
How are practices fantastic and not show on Sundays? You dont have a true nose guard so you can't stop the run. The linebackers appear to be slow or could just be the congestion of people.
Couldn’t throw the ball long because Bryce doesn’t have a strong arm for the NFL and it will most likely be overthrown or intercepted. Frank Reich knew this as well
