Everybody seriously look into Kobalt. They are doing a great job these last 4 years. They have some awesome quality tools now. I'm somewhere around 15 tools invested now. Not a single 1 has been a disappointment
Yeah I’ve been into the 24v lineup for a little over 2 years now and these tools are excellent. I’m a tile setter and use them daily on the jobsite so they get worked hard. Considering the price, warranty and cost of batteries, there isn’t a better value.
I've got: the bandsaw, a light, the weedwhacker/blower combo, the 1/4 in impact driver, 3/8 ratchet, the heavy duty 1/2 inch impact.. The only issue I've run into was I lost the spring for my weedwhacker, but I didn't realize they weren't universal...solved my problem by buying a new screw, but the Wacker head is not sold separately, and no universal heads fit because it's a split shaft. I used to work at carvana doing tires everyday with the half inch impact, and I would use the back of the impact the hit the tires off the studs....lol 5 years later that tool still gets used.
Finally. I was always looking for hand held tile saw for big tiles. It is much easier to use than standard tile saw. But they were useless because it was not possible to use straight edge. Kobalt did it.
Very cool, I did something like this with my Makita 6 1/4 circular saw out of necessity, I ordered a bunch of 24 x 48" tile before realizing I would not be able to rent a tile cutter or saw big enough to cut it… Ended up using my Makita 6 circlular with track saw attachment with a garden hose, basically like this. Worked pretty good except for the few cuts that the track kind of moved, and if you ever were off a little bit it's very difficult to trim off less than an 1/8, the track would needed to be cleaned every time and sometimes would still be difficult to slide, after two bathrooms the track has definitely got a lot of grooves in it from all grit and sliding so I think thats why they dont have it ride on the track but if you can keep all the dust and sludge from getting on the track that might still be an option.
I have many Kobalt cordless tools from Lowes so I already have the 24v batteries. I need to redo my kitchen floor, the previous owners replaced 44' of bad drain line under slab and didn't level the slab afterwards so I have lipping tiles and hollow spots. Thank you!
I just wish they made it so the saw locked onto the track. The problem is that you have to make sure the saw is pressed against the track while cutting to get a perfectly straight cut. It also causes you to press down on the saw, which can cause breaks near the end. I'm not a professional, but this is what I've experienced with my Ryobi wet saw and a makeshift track using plywood and clamps.
What is your opinion of this Kobalt tile saw for cutting granite countertops on-site. Need some to modify the existing opening of a slightly larger cooktop stove. Thanks.
Which direction does the blade rotate ? As you are are looking at it from the side, clockwise or counterclockwise ? Is the direction of the blade set or is it reversible? Thanks
Guessing this would be a cheaper way to go for the diy’r who doesn’t want to buy a large format tile saw for a single job using large format tiles. Interesting.
this is the most to the point, least annoying tile channel on the youtubes edit: looks like you swapped out the stock battery did that one battery do both those cuts?
This was not a good video, it is a Great Video. This kobalt wet battery saw is great since now often depending on the size of the job it will not be necessary to carry a large heavy normal wet tile saw with a base and tray.
I have to ask....I am considering purchasing both...so WHY do you say NO BUENO? Curious and respectful of your opinion based on your experience. Thanks..

Literally in one case, Kobalt has the nicest version of a very commonly oem’d bandsaw.

Great video and content as usual. I love you showing these new tools in action. Keep up the excellent work. You are appreciated.

Thanks for showing us the new tools!
Go Berg!
I saw that tool.
Was looking for a reason to buy since I'm on the "Platform" now.
Thanks for the Demo!👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Thanks Team! Highly apprecited!
Very nice tool set and very light to carry out to a job sight , thanks for sharing!

Don't know how i missed this.
Must have deem tiling 😅
Go Berg! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
😁
Does the saw actually use the track the way a traditional track saw does, or are you just butting it against the track as a guide?
Fantastic work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I mowed rite through that slab👍👍🏄♂️

I didn't even know Kobalt had this - great video! Just curious, why did you change the blade....Diatool simply better?

This would tear through granite with a good blade

Thanks
The blade turns clockwise and no, not reversible.
Approximately how long did it take to cut each piece?
probably only 20 seconds, but walking outside to cut every single piece because it shoots water everywhere takes 20 minutes.
About the same speed as a full size tile saw.
If we leave in France you knwo where we çan buy it ?
Alright man, im a fan of your reviews. Solid installer too. Nice job 👍

With the return policies of all big box stores I don’t see why any home owner would cheap out on tools.

Lowes
@@LandbergTileTV i am from india i need such machine i have electricity problem can any one help me in india this machine is not available
Can this be used in roofing tile?
yup
Where is the link for the kobalt ?
very good hi from TURKIYE
The manufacturers need to reverse the blade rotation on these saws. Chip out is always a possibility.
Where can I get the saw
Lowes dot com
I feel like a track saw should ride in the track.
agree, working on a setup on that with Makita

edit: looks like you swapped out the stock battery did that one battery do both those cuts?
The 8amp should cut more than 100 porcelain cuts. I got 60 cuts with the 4amp and the tabletop tile saw.
Not really a track tile saw, more of a straight edge saw. Makita has an actual track saw adapter for their tile saw
I'm trying to find the Makita. What is the adapter called?
@@LandbergTileTV its makita 198673-2 guide rail adapter
@@LandbergTileTV yea, would love to see a review of the Makita XCC01Z which has option of using the 198673-2 Guide Rail Adapter

NOT A TRACK SAW A STRAIGHT EDGE GLIDE
Track is a bad choice for this saw. I bought both and no Bueno

meth kills dude
huh?
Just buy worx wu533 for cheaper version
not for tile?
