can you pre mix with 5 gallons of water in a bucket then dump? not saying i'll dump the entire bag in the bucket but could i do that with multiple buckets so that it'll mix better?

I recomend calling the manufacture for the vinyl liner. Its probobly best to check with them before adding borates.
