Hello Steve we hope all is well . the tent looks great and 1 person 1 dog tent sounds perfect lol great that it comes with a ground sheet. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe Stay Blessed Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
Thanks! Jasmine is a great dog This tent does come with a floor liner, I just didn't set it up that day in the yard. In my opinion, if it is cold enough to use a hot tent, you don't really need the floor. There are not really any bugs, and the floor liner can get very dirty in a hurry, because you are wearing boots, melting snow or just softening up the frozen ground inside the tent from the heat of the stove. Appreciate you watching. Cheers! -Steve
Thanks for the review! You solved the mystery as to how the side wall tie-outs work. My Pomoly came with two different sizes of metal stakes. Did you use the larger or smaller stakes to tie out the side walls?????
I got the 2021 version and they improved some things and cheaped out on some other things. The ground pegs do not work at all and had to buy different ones. Over all a amazing tent.
@@SKEvolved looks like the center pole is larger with rubber ends. Maybe the tents I see online are the same and do not show on camera but the material is very shiny. Nylon straps for the steaks on the bottom instead of hooks. Cam with red metal steaks but they had no hooks on the top, so I was confused how they are going to hold the nylon straps. Not sure what else has changed. Putting it up is easy. Folding it back like it came is the challenge.
@@SKEvolved I use my hot tent without a floor. It just makes a mess, walking in and out of the tent onto flooring...and I don't like having to take my boots/shoes off each time I do. Think of the muddy mess if it warms up and the snow begins melting and/or it begins to rain.
@@danrcockerham I agree with you, the only time I'm going to take off my shoes/boots is when I'm getting in the bed. That said, I do use the floor in half the tent. Not under the stove, but under my cot and under Jasmine's area. It helps keep the mud at bay a little. When I get home, it means I have to hand wash it and hang it to dry before I can out the tent away. Just part of camping.
Great review of the hot tent. I just ordered mine and basically had a couple questions. Overall how do you like it? And what is the approximate weight as I'm looking to fold it up and put it inside my large backpack? Or does it have to be rolled up and put in that bag that it came in
Congrats! Always fun to get out camping. Overall, I do like it. My only issue is the door only zips open from the bottom. So, being older, I have to get down on knees to reach it. That is not the tents fault. If only Pomoly would come out with a youth potion?!? It is light enough to go in a backpack. The bag helps keeps the poles and stakes contained and doesn't really add any weight. Either way, sir. 😀
Don't mind me asking how long did it take for you to get the pomoly tent after you ordered it? Also, I was thinking about getting rid of the steel died out steaks and replacing them with something aluminum or titanium? Just something maybe to lighten it up a little bit. But I definitely know what you mean by the zippers being on the bottom I'm about 250 pounds in 6 and 1 and I'm in okay shape but I can see how that would be a problem. LOL. Hasn't held up for you? Have you used to in snow or heavy rain
@@lessstuffmorefreedom-livin6886 I ordered mine on 11/6/20 and it arrived on 11/16/20. So 10 days total. I have only used it once so far, and it was cool but weather clear. I hope to use it again soon. We have snow in our forecast coming up.
@@SKEvolved okay great. I ordered mine about 4 days ago so I'm hoping to get it by the 15th or 16th of January as I have a hot tent camping Rendezvous coming up in the Adirondacks it up here in New York
I appreciate the feedback. I need to re watch this video, Nov 2020 seems like a million years ago now. I absolutely might have. I did check the Pomoly site, and they refer to the guy out points on the bottom, and call the white lines "wind ropes". I look into it. Thanks! -Steve
i got mine today i struggle like you did puting it up stakes are junk i am not impressed for 370 dollars you should not have to buy stakes and try to put it back in bag have fun i would gladly take my money back
I appreciate your honesty. I think setting it up will come faster with time. My single biggest issue so far is that I have to get down on my hands and knees to reach the zipper to get out. I know I'm not exactly young, but it is a thing for me.

Happy to share. Thanks for watching! I think it will be plenty of room for us.

Nice review I bought this same tent and was very happy with it.
Excellent! Glad you the review.

I have just ordered mine with the half inner. It would have been nice to see that also. However great vid! Cheers!!
Thanks for that. I have had several requests to see the floor.. I need to make another video.

Safe hikes and nice dog.
Perhaps is it optimal to get a tent whit a floor liner ?

Thank You Steve and I think You are right.
I just wanted to take a quick moment to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving from me.
Great preview! Can't wait to see you use it!
Thanks! :)

Thank you. I used the larger stakes on the tent and the smaller ones for the sidewalls guy lines.
Hi there, do you have a video showing how to set up the Floor Mat?
Hiya! I don't have that video yet but I will. I have been asked that a few times now.
@@SKEvolved Also would love to know if hex plus and T1 stove would fit in a backpack. TIA
@@lcorr090k6 Will do. I had listed T1 stove on my Christmas list. Maybe it didn't fit in my stocking? Probably have to take care of that myself. 😀
Hi there, Can you fit two adults on sleeping pads in this tent with a stove? If you can make a video of that, that would be amazing. Thanks
You are giving me some good ideas. I'll see if I can get the Kim half of this S&K channel to go with me. 😀

Nice video the tent looks good thanks
Thanks! I'm going to try it out very soon.

Interesting to hear they changed it. What are some things they made better? I mean, is it worth me getting the new model?

What an oaf! Where is Jeremy when you need him? Thinking that dog he mentioned early on would be better at putting this tent up
Agreed, Jeremy is great and makes it look easy.

Nice video Steve. How is the tent working out ? I just ordered the same one and a stove.enjoy the great outdoors its truly amazing, cheers.
Tent has been great. It is almost always windy here and I have not had an issue. You're going to have great times! Good luck, Robert.

Good review Thanks
Thank you very much, Tony!

That looks like an awesome tent, does that come with a floor insert or is one available.
It does have the option of a floor as well as a bathtub style inner tent. Glad to see you. Thanks for checking out my channel. 😀
