  • We managed to get both D11s stuck at the same time. Soil looks and feels solid but underneath it’s a different story.

    Perfectly created video . We get to see exactly what it took for the recovery, and the music didn't block out the D11 turbo spooling. MINT...Cheers guys.

    "No worries, just pull it out with the other one"
    "Um, yeah... we tried that"

    That has to be some next level mud you're dealin' with down there and ya gotta dig the brute strength of the machines, but the outstanding hero of the day has to be those frickin' straps. They must be made outta the same material as Batman's suit! Outstanding performance!

    I love watching these machines working.
    Spent my whole career in the construction industry, mostly roads, but you don’t see these monsters being used so much these days, it used to be D9s, D10s and the occasional D11, Cat 637s or Terex TS24s and the like doing the earthworks haul, but nowadays it’s backacters and dump trucks.

    Although my livelihood is in a completely different field, I was always under the impression that D-11s were used mainly in mining operations because of their immense size and weight. The video shows what looks like lowlands with bogs throughout. As one viewer pointed out, wouldn't it have made more sense to use lighter, LGP tracked machines instead?

    • @thejacksonbrothers
      @thejacksonbrothers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is certainly not normal for this area, recent floods make it look like it’s swampy but after previous floods through there they have been able to drive road trains through it. 99.9% of country around here is solid if it’s dry on top😁

    • @thejacksonbrothers
      @thejacksonbrothers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nearly 2000 hp total but main reason for having them all hooked up is we didn’t want the first dozer to break traction and risk getting stuck again👍

  • @darricklambert7818
    @darricklambert7818 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like 2nd dozer the planetaries are spinning on the right side but the tracks aren't moving u can see them. Wore out rails or segments. But D11s are so heavy they don't take much to bury up. Operated one about 5 years. But stuck several times.
