Ronnie's version is the best version of this song, by far. Beautiful, heart-felt arrangement, excellent production that keeps building and building until it explodes into ecstasy, and, as always, outstanding performance by Ronnie Ronette. This should have been the hit version.

She said herself that when the opportunity arouse to either tour with The Beatles or marry Phil Spector she chose the latter. And lasted six years with him. And she was an adult already and could have left him. So, I guess it is not a black and white kind of thing. We are all humans. But cheers, all that being said, her voice is gorgeous. Unfortunately. Ronnie recorded this in Nashville on 16th August 1977 (the day Elvis died). It was written by Bonnie Tyler's mangers. Steve Popovitch of Epic Records played Ronnie a demo after her Say Goodbye To Hollywood single bombed & he persuaded her to record it. Sadly it also bombed.
