The weather forecast for the next week or two is FINALLY looking like summer, warm and dry, making your trips more appealing. You are EXPERT now at driving on our narrow country lanes too !
I'm so excited! We're so glad you enjoyed the trip with us today! We're looking forward to the coming weeks for more wonderful adventures to share with you. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Chris could set up a masterclass British Roads driving school for many of our own UK "drivers!" He is FAR too patient and courteous though for most of our hot hatch and Audi drivers...!
Any Americans watching your videos will gain a FAR better understanding of what Britain is really like and about than from any other similar TH-camrs I have seen the work of. And at LAST some lovely weather, after the wettest and most miserable and depressing winter and spring weather I think any of us can ever remember! ps. Chris could teach many British motorists how to drive properly on our roads! But I suspect you already know that...! Again, very much enjoyed - thanks!
Hello friend! We are so thankful that you enjoy our channel and who you feel would get some entertainment and maybe learn some or see something new about England and the UK. We truly appreciate the love and support that you pour into us. It means so much to our family! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
I can't remember a summer that was so cold and wet, even for us Brits! Great at last for warmth and sunshine 😊 I was a florist for year's and still buy flowers every week , Peonies are especially fabulous ❤ flowers are amazing, as is the countryside, we are so lucky here .
I completely understand it has been a little chilly lately. I'm just thankful for any beautiful sunny days we get. I like it a little cooler, to be honest. I love that you used to be a florist! I want to have my own small flower farm and make local market bouquets. Flowers make people so happy. I love sharing happiness and love with everyone, and I feel flowers do that. Thank you for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x

Open Studios is an event where local artists open their work spaces and show their work. Usually their homes and gardens are also open. There is sometimes a small fee for charity. They all have a website depending on the County. North Norfolk one is usually very good as there are a lot of very fine wildlife painters in the area.
Hiya Jess and Chris I hope you both are doing all positive and all ok, sorry not commented in a while but I have watched your amazing Thursday and Sunday vlogs :) but anyway have you both ever done your family tree 🌳 with ancestry 🤔 if you haven’t you could discover British ancestors in your roots 🤔 thanks for sharing your amazing vlogs as always guys :) I hope you both have a fantastic weekend ahead too 👍
Thanks for the comment and kind words. We have not done the family tree, but we have talked about it a good amount. Who knows, maybe soon we will. Cheers, Chris
My mother had a yellow Tree Peony in her garden. She gave me a cutting and I grew mine from her tree. She passed some years back and my Tree Peony is still blooming and is big and beautiful.
Always enjoy your videos. Interesting to see what people from other countries think of our little island. I see you have been to Cornwall. I recommend you go to see the Jurassic Coast. In particular Lyme Regis to West Bay.Have a look for some 185 million year old fossils.
Ahoy you two, enjoying your trips out, there's just one thing though, ''PLEASE SLOW DOWN'', only 5 - 10 mph, i'm sure you will enjoy the driving more so, three cheers to you two oo thanks
I can hardly get down my paths the growth is so lush, but it always goes nuts in spring. It's such a joy, but the deadheading and staking is an endless job! Loved the peony farm. Mine are relatively new so still waiting for some to flower but oh when they do, absolute heaven...and the scents too. The first flower on single pink Nymphe is open atm and it's such a rich heady scent. Another lovely lush drive.
Oh, I completely understand that some of the narrow paths are so grown up right now. Which is fabulous. I'm so glad you enjoyed the farm with us. Also, thank you so very much for coming along with us.We really appreciate the love you all pour into us.
Even with satnav, you have mastered driving in the UK. No hesitation and confident. I am pleased that you will be taking back so many happy memories of the UK. Spread the word, when you get back. We are not bad people and friendly.
We absolutely love trying to venture out! Even if Satnav does not stir us down the right roads because it leads to some wonderful places. We will definitely tell the masses that this is a wonderful place to visit/ live! We truly appreciate your wonderful support and love. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Beautiful video. I don;t have a garden but the weeds on my patio are certainly having a great time!! I'm glad to see you've conquered the fear of driving on these narrow country roads!
Cotswold lavander farm near Broadway in a couple weeks maybe worth a visit. Take a picnic and after visit Broadway Tower which is a couple miles away. There is also a cafe and an early nuclear bunker open to public but there are admission fees.
We're so glad you enjoyed the adventure with us. It's so much fun getting to share our fun trips with you. The pink ones are some of my favorites. Thank you for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
My philadelphus (mock orange) is in full bloom and the scent in my garden is just amazing. Doesn't it make a difference when the sun comes out? You've been pretty stoic about our dreadful weather this year so I'm delighted to see you finally got a trip out on a sunny day. And flowers are so you, Jess. 😊
I think you would enjoy the Lavender fields in Snowshill Nr Broadway open until August 4th.In full flower in July. Also the confetti fields in Wick Pershore open June 28th to July 7th on a sunny day both lovely.
I love this recommendation! I will definitely look into that. I'm sure I would be in another happy place. I (Jess) truly appreciate your time sharing with me. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Plymouth, England is worth a visit because it is where the mayflower pilgrims docked there ship for repair and set sail to the Americas for their new world which is Massachusetts. It is worth the visit highly recommend Great and fantastic content please keep it up this is amazing Good luck Anglophiles.
Oh, same! Yes, I did smell them, and wow, how wonderful some had a very beautiful fragrance. I will look that up? Thanks for your time sharing with us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
To keep your lavender in good order, cut off the new growth after it has finished flowering each year but don't cut into the woody parts, this will keep it flowering strongly and maintains a nice shape, If you just leave it, it will end up tall and woody with few flowers.
Nice drive again folks. I spotted the asparagus did you buy any? I would have had to have some of that as it's right at the end of the season for English asparagus and next month all the stuff in the shops will probably be imported and not so fresh. Probably my favourite veg and one I failed miserably at growing myself many years ago.
Oh. We definitely picked up some asparagus. It is also one of our favorites as well. Hopefully, we will be able to grow it when we return to Michigan. We appreciate you coming along with us for this amazing adventure. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Beautiful drive out in the country, our cherry blossom tree looks great, and the lavender looks good too but my fav is our strawberry,s are huge and plentyful ❤
I agree that the strawberries are just wonderful here! I love it here and truly appreciate this opening to share with you all. Thank you for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
@claregale9011 I keep telling Chris we need to have another Day Date picking strawberries. Love getting put support local farms! Hope you got some yummy ones. Do you have any big plans for your strawberries? 🤍 Jess x
Hi Jess, love your channel ❤ have you ever considered, during a video of Chris experiences with the UK military?Has he met any new friends, etc ,be an interesting listen, keep up the great work❤
I will talk with Chris work to get a video shared. Thank you for the recommendation for Chris! We love sharing with you all. Thank you for the love and support. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I know that Chris is a car guy so how about a change of pace and visit the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in July? I've been there a number of times and for a petrol head like me it's a motoring must see as you get up close to famous F1 cars and drivers past and present plus LMP and world rally cars along with exotic and rare supercars such as Ferraris' And Bugattis' up close. To watch them and moto gp bikes storming up the hill climb is mighty impressive and I highly recommend if you're interested to book in advance. It's a long drive for you as it's in Sussex but I think you'd love it as much as Jess seemed to have enjoyed her peonies at the farm. 😊 All the best and wishing you many happy driving adventures in what will hopefully be a great and sunny summer 😊 Paul
That is a great suggestion. I think it would be something amazing. Looks like the only available days they still have is on Thursday and we wouldn't be able to make that. Any other events like this coming up? Let us know and we would love to make a trip. Cheers, Chris
I have quite a large garden with trees and shrubs and perennials etc, and the volumes of growth, and greenery has been so excessive this year : the grasses in the local Woodland have been taller than for many years too, which I think is the result of the excessive rain over the last six months, along with warmer temperatures. A heat wave is predicted over the next few weeks so get ready for disappearing greenery. Love your trip today. Sheffield South Yorkshire. Watch out for the carrot root fly !!
I love the green! It makes my heart so happy. I understand the rain has made things grow like crazy and some have not liked the rain as much. I really appreciate your time sharing with us! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Another great video of the beautiful countryside in your area. When we go out into the countryside I don't normally get to see the views as I'm usually the one doing the driving! You should come to Hampshire and try driving on our single track roads, good fun. The are many beautiful villages with thatched cottages. We also have 2 national Parks, the New Forest and the South Downs. I live near the highest spot on the South Downs Way, Butser Hill. The 360 views are fantastic. Butser Ancient Farm is worth a visit too, it has recreations of Iron Age and earlier houses. We're also close to the ancient cities of Winchester and Chichester. If you're interested in military history we have Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose. There is also the D Day Museum.
We are so glad you enjoy the adventures with us. Thank you so much for the recommendations and the national parks and forest that you live near! We truly appreciate your time sharing with us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Hello Day dreamers barn I also recommend exploring Birmingham which has Queen Victoria's monument you will also get a chance to see the library which is stunning and lights green at night You may also like Liverpool, county Durham, Winchester, Sunderland, Northumbria, Newcastle there great places for you to explore Oh don't forget the Russel group institutions Oxford which has Radcliffe building and Cambridge universities that date back to 1096AD and 1100AD Boston, Lanchishire is home to an area where the pilgrims were held captive
We really appreciate your insight and recommendations on places that we should check out. Most of the places that you have recommended we have on our bucket list. We truly appreciate your love and support!! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
A question for you both. Have you considered moving here permanently? You’re pretty much a part of your community there, you seem to like our beautiful country and friendly people. If it was me trying to decide,it would be a no brainer, but then,I’m biased of course. Been to the states twice, once with work and once on holiday and loved it,I found that we’re very similar with the same values, generally speaking anyway. But I found everything so far away,it’s such a big country. Britain, and especially England is compact and easy to travel round with great views everywhere. Anyway,if you’ve thought about becoming Brits but retaining that American positivity, you’d fit in very easily here.
We have thought about buying a vacation home here if we come into a lot of money.. Unfortunately, we have family back in the States that would not be able to come and visit us if we lived here permanently. Plus, we own a small farm in Michigan. We absolutely love it here and will definitely come back to visit when we have to leave. We really love both countries and appreciate how different they're in their own way. Chris and I are true Americans who LOVE Long Drives! We own a big camper in the US and love to travel, and we're going to take you all along with us on that adventure so we can explore the US with you all. We truly appreciate your question and support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Hi Guys , love the dappled shade and light coming through on the narrow country roads it's beautiful . My stepdads garden is stunning at the moment full of colour , thanks for the trip out 😊❤⚘🌻🌷🌹🦋
Same it, some of my favorite drives, friend! We truly appreciate all your love and support means so much to us. Hope your week is full of blessing! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Of my 3 peonies. 1 died, 1 is really late in its development and the 3rd has never plowered in the 4 years I've had it. Im giving up on peonies and acers and now concentrating on Salix, can't wait to see the hash I can make of them.
Fantastic video, as usual. I am amazed by the variety of destinations that you find within driving distance. The scenery along the way, is drop dead gorgeous. I have only seen one yellow peony in my life (in Hampshire) and was told that it is quite rare. It was simply beautiful. I did not notice any yellow blooms there, so perhaps that is the case.
Another gorgeous day, weather wise, this summer has been a bit unsettled, to say the least. However, when the sun shines, it is hard to beat a day out in the British countryside. It looks like you had a good time at the farm.
I completely understand that the summer has taken a while to get here. I am just thankful for the beautiful days to come. It was a lovely day at the farm. Thank you for your support, friend! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Oh, I completely understand. I definitely would have had a dress now, but we were looking at going on a walk down a Footpath. Unfortunately, I spent so much time at the farm that I needed to return home to start dinner for the family. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thanks for taking us along on another drive! I wonder if you might meet up or get in contact with 'Mac and Blair Family Adventures'? Like you they are Americans currently based in the UK and making the most of their time here, and Mac used to farm in Georgia, and has a few animals at his place near Leicester, so you have much in common and are not a million miles away if you fancy meeting up on a day out. You folks would enjoy their 6 kids including baby twins too! Thanks again.
Thank you for coming along with us. We appreciate your kindness and support. We would love to meet up with them. We follow their channel. We love to support everyone. We love to see what others appreciate and love. Thank you for your wonderful recommendation! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Great video 👍 The Google maps is a random driven route so does not pick the most direct route , you gonna miss the walkers and pheasants when you go back to the states.😊
Thank you for coming along with us. We love the back country roads. Makes our adventures so much fun. The farm and owners are so lovely! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Why didn't you let that white car go first at the junction 12min in or so? Because your right turn was awkward it would have made your turning easier if they had gone first
I understand it looked like we did not try, but the person was sitting on their phone at the intersection, so they did not see Chris flash them and give them an opportunity to move. So it was a little awkward. 😂 Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I had a boss years ago who was a keen gardener and in an office full of females ( nurses ) he uttered out of the blue " I cut my Peonys this afternoon " and couldn't figure why the girls were in hysterics of laughter .

The rain is annoying but without it we wouldn't have so much greenery.
I completely agree with you, my friend! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
As a keen cyclist I love it when the sun comes out and cycling along those peaceful country roads and listening to the birds singing.

Another lovely trip🎉
We're so glad you enjoyed the day out with us.
Oh, I'm so sorry about your peonies!! I understand the frustration, friend. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thank you, friend! Really appreciate your time and support. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
You guys are great. Ps. Steve laughs like the Penguin 😂
I'm so glad you enjoyed our trip! We love sharing our fun adventures with you all. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
That was lovely, it really looked like you were driving through the back end of nowhere. Where was the flower farm? 😃
We're so thankful you enjoyed the day with us! The flower farm is located in Erpingham. It's so wonderful! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Some lovely photos of you there, Jess. I think the only thing missing was one of those summery, floating dresses, if you know what I mean.
#44 and off we go for another charming adventure
Fantastic, hopefully you enjoyed the adventure with us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Like the back roads near me, though you're meant to stop at a pub...or two 🤣 (Don't us Brits moan a lot?)
Didn't make it to any of the pubs out there, maybe next time. Cheers, Chris
Where was this exactly? It looked like the Norfolk broads. Oh and by the way, what car do you have, it sounds a little bit sporty.
About 10 miles west of the broads between norwich and cromer
Is the farm is located in Erpingham! It's wonderful to support small farmers. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
I had a boss years ago who was a keen gardener and in an office full of females ( nurses ) he uttered out of the blue " I cut my Peonys this afternoon " and couldn't figure why the girls were in hysterics of laughter .
Oh, very funny. Sure, they heard something else. Thank you for sharing this funny store with us. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
what car are you driving? sounds great
We're driving a Mini Copper S, and we love it! Such a fun little car! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBound My wife's previous car was a Cooper S - pretty brilliant car, and what handling! She replaced it with just a Cooper, though, as the more recent Cooper S was just a bit TOO brilliant - and rapid! - for someone now drawing their pension...! Great car choice.
I'm a little bit in love with your beautiful wife Chris...😍😍😍🤣
Me too! Cheers, Chris
Early message. The weather has been nonsense, not normal (Not CC nonsense0. It's changed now a little bit!
Completely understand! I'm so thankful for the last 4 days. We appreciate your time supporting us! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
