I think most great musicians are. Much like it´s their language, if that makes any sense? I think they listen to music a bit different than most of us. Maybe one small transition means a whole lot to them, that we don´t even notice, but it builds on whatever they played for the last three minutes. I see this also in dance, as a friend of mine is heavily invested in this art. In time, I understand more and more of his view, but it is not native in me, like I can see it in him. It is very much like a natural reaction to whatever someone else does on stage. So I think it is fair to say that proper musicians, or rather all true artists have their own language. Or maybe more languages per art, for all I know. But this is one of the pieces that cements that thought in me. That some people have other eyes or ears then me. Somehow, this all plays out to my benefit, so I will simply lay back and enjoy!

Most of the late 70's new groups continued with great music since then, however it seemed to change a bit with all the newer groups just starting in the early 80's which I didn't care for as much, with exceptions, of course!

I loved the interview I saw when Ian Anderson said that he always wanted to play the flute solo on “Knights in White Satin” but was afraid to ask!
By the way, I still think that the term “underrated “ is too overused in the TH-cam comments section and should be banned.

@@TenMinuteTrips Totally agree with you about the "u" word. I hate it when I see it in the comments because it usually makes no sense. I think people use it as a nice thing to say about an artist but have no idea what it really means.

This is an amazing arrangement. A perfect fusion of such a different kind of music, a classical orchestra and a rock band, and a remarkable recreation of a theme that is firmly known as a legend. Finally, Ian Anderson's voice is, in this case, at the top of the vocal interpretation.

Late 77 early 78 went to old L.A. Colosium. Got there/in around noon. There was skaters doin halfpipe stuff. Then someone, never knew who. Then Rory Gallagher fallowed by Robin Trower. Then Jethro Tull. One for my memory Hall of Fame. They were fantastic. This is very much what my girl and I experienced. No orchestra back up but you cant convince my memory. Use to hit alot of concerts and festivals. Tull remains at the top of my live music experiences.
