- If I can do this in the bright hot sun and video it, and have the new horn working in less than 5 minuets' then you can do it too. No need to take the front body bumper part off like all the youtube videos say. Just removed the driver side headlight unit and reach inside.
A OEM KIA horn will cost big bucks, so I bought a better horn from amazon for under $9 bucks that is much louder than the factory horn ever was. I also bought a horn adapter cable so that I could just plug in the new horn since non OEM horns will have spade connectors and not the KIA connector. That cost me under $6 bucks.

Thank you. This doesn't sound too hard. I need to pass an inspection for my car, and only thing that's holding me back is the horn not working. It gives a terrible groaning sound now.
Not very hard unless you have really large hands. Low-cost fix and worth trying yourself compared to paying someone to do it.

If not for the heat from the engine it might be a good idea to 3d print a horn.
Its not hard to get the front bumper cover off.... 2 bolts & 4 screw clips on top. 1 bolt in each wheel well. 2 screws & 4 screw clips underneath.
You can unbolt both headlights but don't need to.
Its a lot easier to just remove the head lamp with 2 bolts. Had the job done in 5 minuets.
it's hard for those of us with arthritic knees...glad you don't understand that...yet.
Is this the same for a 2011 Kia soul?
I bet it is, but I only have the 2014 Kia so cannot say for sure.
anyone that has done this recently would you tag the name of the adapter you bought to plug it in & the horn model number says not compatible for 2014 ?

I had added a pair of ebay horns maybe 3 years ago, that have apparently stopped working.... The factory horn still works. I had the Front Bumper Cover off today so I was able to confirm the add-on horns were not working. When they did work, the combined 3 horn sound was nice & loud....like an early 70's Cadillac.
I ordered a new pair off Amazon that will be here before next weekend....
I agree, when adding more horns it would be best to take the front bumper off. Hope the new horns do the job and last more than 3 years.

Thanks for this video. Saved me a lot of headache to just remove the headlight. I bought a salvage title car, and they clearly forgot to put the horn back in the car, easy fix (spent $30 when the shop said it would probably be $300 or more depending on the problem).
So glad it helped you. It is easy to do once you know you do not have to pay a shop to take the front of the car body off.

The cars come with 1 horn, but there is room for adding a 2 horn system if you want.

@@Robothut Oh yeah that's crazy They Wanted you to disassemble 25% of the car just to fix a horn That's awesome that you were able To come up with a solution You only disassembled maybe about 5% of the car and fixed the horn

Yes , sometimes you just have to do these things. When all the TH-cam videos tell you to take the whole front of the car off just to replace a horn, when you can do it in 5 minuet's by just taking out the head light, well I just had to say something.
