Chris, this is one of my favorite series to watch. When I found this in my news feed for uploaded videos, i was excited to see the next installment for History of Video Games. Looking forward for part 8 and other future installments. Congrats man
its nice to see someone on here being happy for a new episode rather than bitching about how long it took to be released. also im a huge fan of the history of video games series too :)
the reason i dont complain much cause It takes alot of time to write the script, collect the game play footage, videos of him explaining stuff, and audios during the gameplay.
Irategamer Thank you for taking your time to put out this content. It really is worth the wait to see the work you put out that is polished from your first video to now. You will always have my support as a viewer
Irategamer And in truth, I can relate what you went through. In college, I took a video film class and it was hell to figure out a good script. Not to mention getting the footage for the video. Then editing it to fit the video, along with getting the proper music to fit the video as well. And you were a testament to that fact when you stated it in one of your behind the scenes video about how it wasn't easy to set things up like you wanted. But you managed to make it work. You gave me ideas on how to approach stuff just from watching your videos. I know I am acting like a big fan, but I am a big fan of your work. Here's to many future years Chris
MrSmapdi I agree in this way. The Irate Gamer has become a clone of the simpsons or family guy with the jokes. What I think personally what he's aiming for in a way is that he makes it so that he can be able to show it to everyone, without it being to offensive. But at the same time, you can tell he's working hard on these videos. What I would prefer that he do is that sort of have little jokes sprinkled into the script so the viewer can understand them, and laugh at them on his own time! Not have entire segments just for ONE joke.
Fox Mc Loud The main problem with Chris Bores is that his efforts is often misplaced. His watching him attempt humour is like watching a blind man attempt to fire an unloaded machine gun.
HOLY SHIT 2 History of video game episodes within a year. Seriously Chris this is one of the main reasons I watch your vids. You definitely do your homework on these videos. Please try to do more of these this year. I want to be alive when you are done with these series of videos...LMAO
So hyped that episode 7 is out can't wait for episode 8 to be out. The humor gets even better per episode, keep up the good work doesn't really matter if you take your time to make it perfect dude.
Great video man. Love how that small part of history is included into your series. Definitely something that other documentaries usually miss when doing the history of video games. I've watched every single part of your History of VGs and from what I'm seeing, this is looking more fun and fun as you get closer to the 1980's.
Great in depth video series. At the risk of attracting those who live under bridges and fanatics, this is the first time in awhile I have sat down and watched something from this channel after watching quite a few videos of IG/Chris' a few years back. In short, as constructively as possible, more like this please. :)
Irategamer i do kid. i like all your videos but find it funny that i orginaly subscribed for the history vids and there have been so few. have a great day ill keep watching
+Robin Wise Here's another fast fact: The reason Space Invaders speeds up over time was because as you kill the "invaders" theres a lot less action happening on screen at once. Therefore the game's processor doesn't have to work as hard. Causing the game to speed up as you kill the "invaders". But when all the "invaders" are present on screen, it causes the game to lag. And runs at a speed in which we call "normal speed" (excuse my "redundantness").
ok great editing, corny jokes (which work btw), and interesting info makes this an awesome video series. Born in 81, my first console was a atari 2600 and I hope you keep it up and finish this series.
Hi, these vids are great! I love the humor and corny effects used. May I ask will you also be looking at the home computer revolution in the late 70s and early 80s when we get to it?
The fire truck in the Fire Truck game seems to have the mobility of an Amish guy steering a barn and Blue Shark looks like the precursor to Jaws on the NES.
I had no recollection that RCA ever produced arcade cab. games. I do recall going to some local arcades (including some at the local small kiddie amusement parks here in LI NY) in the early to mid 70s and at that point there were even some early arcade machines that were using what seemed to be animation loops and films to show the action, including a famously bloody and violent game called Shark Hunt or Devil Ray, or somesuch, where you had to try to peg and harpoon the sharks and rays and if you succeeded the film would run an image of the beast being harpooned and bleeding out. It was a bit disturbing! I think I recall playing Fire Truck but it was frustrating. I loved the Atari cartridge Sky Diver for some reason, a lot later. Sea Wolf 2 was a great game even though it's not that exciting, it was cool stepping up on that huge cabinet and looking into the periscope.
(laughing at the Fire truck game while your clones are yelling at each other ) lol, it seems your clones can't seem to get along while playing a co op game, can't they?
Sea Wolf II Arcade Cabinet looks just like a soda fountain from restaurants where you pour your own drinks in the cup! The way it looks it's really an Arcade machine but it looks just like a soda fountain though! That would be a cool machine an arcade machine and soda fountain combination. Something for you to drink like soda or water while playing a video game! That would be a cool idea!

More entertaining than the AVGN nowadays, for sure!
its been 7 years old, and this comment has aged like a fine wine.
Irate gamer. Thank you for part 7. And your hard work :)
Keep rocking
Great work Chris, I LOVE this series.
The only reason I watch this channel.
FPietros well you got to admit, this probably took a lot of work
Fox Mc Loud but for what? every 30 seconds there was a "joke" about the game hitting IG with something.... pointless
MrSmapdi I agree in this way. The Irate Gamer has become a clone of the simpsons or family guy with the jokes. Really nice effect of Space Invaders attacking city. Almost captured the feel of the game you had as a kid. Nice.

lol
Irategamer cools love to know how history of video games came up in Canada and the US
Sadly, this is pretty much true.
I'm glad we have something to look forward to, that far into the future.
Irategamer i do kid. i like all your videos but find it funny that i orginaly subscribed for the history vids and there have been so few.
have a great day ill keep watching
Here's fact: Clowns was ported to the Atari VCS/2600 under the name Circus Atari!
Robin Wise spoilers!

@@irategamer What about Pac-Man. The one who eats stuff?

Awesome vid series
Space Invaders was my very first Taito Arcade Game that I played a lot on Computer when I was a kid 7 years old since 2008
Great video Chris, Avalanche looks like early version of Kaboom! I played Clowns port on C64, i was really bad at it :)
Great episode Chris, real quick, do you know when the next Irate the 80s will be out? Love that series and I'm awaiting the next one!
~Jolly good show!!!
Good stuff Chris
Good vid!
I'm not really a fan of Irate Gamer
But this series is the exception
Great vid!
Video games were showing up in pizza parlors *way* before 1978. Shakey's Pizza had Computer Space in their locations at least as early as 1974.
Cool video
3:25 This is the best. Thanks you.
Hi, these vids are great! I love the humor and corny effects used. May I ask will you also be looking at the home computer revolution in the late 70s and early 80s when we get to it?
Hey great job on the new video Chris! so do you own these old Arcade Cabinets or what?
The fire truck in the Fire Truck game seems to have the mobility of an Amish guy steering a barn and Blue Shark looks like the precursor to Jaws on the NES.

Yes good job Chris
Cant wait until 2018 for part 8! :)

super nice.
i dig it.
ahaha great stuff! how the hell do you capture footage for all his stuff?
Sea Wolf II Arcade Cabinet looks just like a soda fountain from restaurants where you pour your own drinks in the cup! Part 7 is out, yay!! :D
Irategamer (,^^)--b
Super cool review so far! When is part 8 coming up?
I love this series. You should get a whole team of people so you can put out longer eps faster! XD
Whooooo I'm glad to see one of these!!! (No sarcasm)
I love this
Jolly good show indeed!
Clowns was a precursor to Atari's Circus Atari/Circus for the VCS in 1979.
"coming up next"
Yeah, coming up next century.
When's episode 8 coming out?
NOICE IrateGamer
i like it dood
Hope you can review some Namco games in future.
I noticed you used a quick scene from Johns Arcade. Why is that now?
HELL YEAH!
I hope you make a Nintendo episode!
Mate, quick fact. That small city shown 4:40 is Melbourne, Australia.
