This video is very inspiring. I think the TBL method is the best learning method in terms of students’ engagement. Students’ involvement is the key to develop their understanding about the topic being discussed in the class.
Thank you for making and sharing this video :)

Hi Hafiz. For more information about TBL, you can view the brochure here: goo.gl/S55Wer. If you would like to get in touch with the School's TBL team, you can email them at EduDev.LKCMedicine@ntu.edu.sg. Hope this helps.

It's much cheaper than traditional learning. Thats it! It's not better at all!

lol, what is cheaper? Do you know how much more work goes into making sure TBL accomplishes all the objectives set for the particular course as opposed to reading you a book via PowerPoint?

@@jessicabruskoski5144 It. Is. Cheaper. Look it up. I've went through medical school and I know how much worse students got with these preschool teaching techniques. Since this TBL nonsense began students who failed their exams increased with 300%! Our professors themselves said this curriculum is way cheaper than the old one before TBL. And even when I finished medical school I still have to relearn a lot of stuff I couldn't learn with that catastrophic curriculum.

@@ameersk3223 We have the same number of faculty members whether we lecture or not. The course lead is still responsible for the same amount of content so, we haven’t cut back, but that being said I’m sure some do it differently than others, because the amount of time I put in creating activities to teach students how to apply this information is ridiculous. I’m pretty sure most think I’m nuts, who does this for pennies. I could make much more in the clinic, but I wanted to be a part of this process.
Anyway, more importantly I am interested in your thoughts on what would have been “ideal.” Do you feel like traditional lecture, highlighting the reading material assigned is the “best” method? Obviously with clinical experiences, but that’s given in both (or at least should be).

This approach to teaching and learning actually requires more time from the instructor to develop questions and application exercises. This results in more interaction between the instructors and the students than a lecture. I can assure you it is not cheaper or easier.
