I loved watching your video! I really want to make this quilted basket! I’m thinking of adding some stiff interfacing so it could hold a little heavier items. Wondering if you think that would work out okay? My concern is that it might make sewing the bottom on too cumbersome. Also - I really enjoyed your music!
Thank you so much for your feedback❤️! I'm so glad my work inspired you. The stiff interfacing will definitely add strength and flexibility to your basket. If you plan on using it for heavier items, I would recommend stitching the handles directly to the sides and leaving the buttons as decoration. My machine does a good job with stiff materials, but you can always sew the bottom by hand if needed. For reference, my basket held 2 kg of tangerines without any problems! 😉
