BRAVO!!!! You truly did the zoo justice!!!! This may be my favorite Zoo Tours episode of ALL TIME!!! So glad you were able to get all the animals moving around and the weather was perfect for your visit! Looking forward to the other episodes, especially Land of the Tiger! 🐘🦏🦓🦒🦁🐦

Trivia Answer:
Thandi, the African elephant, is originally from the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington. She arrived there in January 1983.
Thandi was later transferred to Disney's Animal Kingdom in June 1997, then to the National Elephant Center in Fellsmere, Florida in May 2013, and finally to the Jacksonville Zoo in November 2015.
I heard the Jacksonville Zoo director now works for Louisville. So I’m wondering if Louisville’s African section will be remodeled similar to this
Thanks again for the Shout Out Zach, I'm glad I was able to share the adventure with you.
What a great zoo, great video too.
A lot of new species I've never seen before in a zoo ( lappet vultures, the cranes, those weird agamas)
Speaking of never seen before critters, Monterey Bay Aquarium is opening it's new deep sea exhibit some time this year. They had a deep sea exhibit years and years ago but they've gained a LOT more information on how to keep, display and even breed creatures from the abyss. Included will be snail fish, giant blood comb jellies, dumbo octopus, vampire squid, zombie worms, yeti crabs, fangtooth fish and a bunch of strange crinoids, corals, molluscs, worms and sea jellies. I don't want to be one of those folk who keep telling you to go to certain zoos but...Ya gotta cover this one! You may have to invest in a low light camera ( rental?) as I know for a fact most of these exhibits will be very dark and even some in red light ( which a lot of deep sea animals can't see).
Also I reckon you will get a lot of views if you do cover it: plenty of people from overseas won't be able to see it because of COVID restrictions in their country ( return flights will be problematic) and by the time travel restrictions are lifted internationally the exhibition may be over.
Glad to have the videos back

Is that really the noise their making right now?
No Rose the zoo pays the maintenance crew extra to record themselves passing kidney stones and play them back on loud speakers when the lions have a sore throat
RIP Betty White
I’ve been there before I gone there like twice
WHO DEY!!!!!! Lets go Bengals!
My bracelet came in yesterday! My polar bear’s name is Barbara 🐻❄️
I love Jacksonville Zoo! They are also planning an orangutan reserve exhibition, which it was hinted the apes will be able to showcase and climb great heights, maybe similar to Indianapolis' IOC.
Hopefully they'll have more natural-looking climbing structures in case the ones in Indianapolis Zoo aren't happy with their unnatural-looking climbing structures.
WHO DEY, let’s go Bengals
That's a young Aldhabra Tortoise. Melbourne's is well over 100 years old!
Jacksonville seems like a really nice zoo! I loved hearing the Lion roars. It’s one of my favorite sounds in the animal kingdom.
An absolutely fantastic tour of an amazing zoo!! Can't wait to see the other sections!
Great episode! Can’t wait for more!
YOU BOTH ARE AMAZING==HATS OFF TO JOHNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video, Zach! I loved Ali’s story and I always love a good lion’s roar. Plus, Johnny is a great guy. I haven’t met him in person yet, but I hope to one day
Will you ever tour zoos in England?
I work with Johnny! He’s super knowledgeable when it comes to animals! Also yet again adding another zoo I need to check out thankfully this one is closer than most of the others. I would love if you could do Sedgwick county zoo in Wichita KS that’s the zoo I grew up going to and miss it greatly and haven’t been able to go back in years. And as always love your videos!
I was not expecting the local zoo here to be featured on this channel!
Thandi came from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium and lived their with Moyo, Moja, George and Rama, she in moved to Disney's animal kingdom in 1997 with Moyo, Moja moved to the Pittsburgh zoo where she gave birth two times and had two daughters Victoria born 1999, and Zuri in 2008, George moved to Winston Wildlife Safari and and sadly died in 2020, and Rama he was the son of famous Pachy at the Oregon zoo, and moved back to his birth Zoo until his death in 2015
So the tortoise is *as old as* or *1 year older than* Godzilla,
Interesting
You know you're a G-Fan when you immediately associate years with the Godzilla movies that came out in them.
Great idea for a TH-cam channel
Out of all the Zoological Park I've been to, Jacksonville Zoo was probably the best out of them. 10 out 10
Oh, man, I didn't even know Jacksonville had a zoo! I was just a few miles away from there, too, last summer. I might've tried to go, if I'd known. Oh, well.
Looks pretty great, though! Nice, spacious exhibits and plans to improve. That blue gecko was amazing, hopefully it'll still be there whenever I get around to visiting. And you were lucky the lions and giraffes were putting on a show while you were there! They added a lot to this video.
I love the Jacksonville Zoo. This video only further solidified how much I do. Keep up the awesome work @ZooTours. B.T.W those lions were amazing.
What happened to the crocodile that used to be at the African Loop? I used to live in Jacksonville and frequented the zoo, but left in the early 2010s
Yey Ploy Planet Zoo Is Game Help you

Cowabunga!!! Which zoo are you going next for Episode 113 sooner or later? In fact, visit the San Diego Zoo Safari Park soon! Also, here are 4 zoo trivia questions for you, Zak...
1) What are the names of the 2 newborn elephant calves at the Omaha Zoo?
2) How many female Mexican Gray Wolves are welcomed at the San Francisco Zoo when Bowie is at his own exhibit, since Prince & Garcia passed away so far?
3) Who is the name of the black bear that passed away from the Los Angeles Zoo?
4) Which animals did the Oakland Zoo usually house many years ago?

Why arent the Zebras living togheter with the Rhinos Kudus & Ostrich?
Certain zebra species can be very aggressive and prefer to live in solitary. Especially Grevy's.
Are many vultures in NA zoos still pinioned? Is it modern or historic pinioning?
