She is my FAVORITE artist. I have loved her since her first release, and I have every cassette/CD she has ever released. And out of all of them this song is my all-time favorite, don't know how many times I have sat and cried to the Lord listening to this.
A heart after God's own heart. Her words and the intensity of sincerity in her voice are second to none. She has been my goto in times of struggle for most of my life. Never for Nothing is the absolute best break-up song ever! How many times I've blubbered listening to that song...
Oh my Lord! I hope to tell Margaret that she was used in such an "instrumental" way by Jesus to save my life way, way back when.... This is a stunning reminder of those days of tumult He used to call and convince my confession and repentance. Thank you Margaret... Thank you Jesus! I love you too.
Thank you for uploading this. I’m not religious anymore, but I was when I was a kid and Margaret was my favorite Christian singer. I still enjoy listening to her music.
I struggled so with forgiveness. I just couldnt believe that this amazing God could forgive someone like me. One day crying out to Him this song came on and I was frozen in that moment it was like it was Him speaking to me and I was His forever.
Oh my , my!!! How God's precious people need to hear this song and rejoice in the exceeding mercy & grace Father has bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ!!! Eph 2:7
I can't believe it's been 35 years since "Immigrant's Daughter" was released and I first heard this song. I was in college, and my roommate and I got special backstage passes to meet Margaret before she performed on campus. This song really resounded with me then, and it continues to do so today. Thank you, Margaret!
Margaret Becker, the one and only! Such consummate musicianship and a consummate Christian soul. Loved seeing her live in South Africa in the '90s and she just goes from strength to strength as an artist, writer and producer. Rock on, sister!
I love her song about her grandmother when she sang the line; she married america and scrubbed it on her knees. The song Never For Nothing is a classic. She reminds me a little of another awesome vocalist Nancy Wilson of Heart.
I remember the first time I heard Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart". I thought, they just plagiarized "Never for Nothing". After the late 80s, I lost track of Margaret Becker. I stumbled upon this video 2 nights ago. This song is beautiful and I praise The Lord for having me rediscover her music. I love her guitar in this video. After 22 years of calling Takamine Santa Fe guitars my dream guitar. The Lord blessed me with one 5 years ago. Beautiful voice, beautiful guitar, beautiful heart.
I listened to her from the very beginning. I won tickets to that live recording in Ft Worth with Charlie Peacock. I learned to play this and several other of her songs on guitar.
Saw Maggie around 1991 and had her sign my denim jacket with "Just Come In -Margaret Becker" then promptly embroidered the sig for safekeeping. This has always been my anthem of return.
This above all else says it for me. Just Come In, that is all He wants us to do. This song has over the past years been so encouraging to me and echoes in the backdrop of this thing we call life. Often it comes to me along with a scripture and to me that is sacred! Thank you Maggie B. Prayers here for you often. Keep on doin' that thang you do! Much Love for you missy!
I remember being married to a narcissistic “Christian” husband. He made me feel so awful about myself and My eternal home. This song meant so much to me. I love you for this song that saved me until i could find peace and love in my eastern philosophy. We’re all beautiful and endless in gods eyes. No shame. That’s the real truth
Love her music and singing voice, she is one of my favorite artists to listen to ever! I wish this entire concert was on here, would love to listen to other songs she did from this set.
Such an awesome believer. Have always loved her voice, lyrics and commitment to the Lord. I have always felt her music was annointed. Alot of awesome memories. How the music industry has changed and it seems to me less talent. Shalom to you Margaret Becker!
Wow, this is so much better than the keyboard dominated version on on the album! The song is one of my favorites, as far as the vocals, message, and melody, this version fixes it completely!
Who does this song- the song was done 1985 to 1995: "He hears you- Even when you sigh He hears- A whisper from a cry He hears you- When your falling all apart He knows A sound of a broken heart *Hear & now Sending a message through a telegraph Hear HIM come- Follow HIM down on a rocky path Dry your eyes Hide your tears He can hear! judgement day is coming, and JESUS IS AT THE DOOR !! stand strong because this world is wicked and evil !! CHRIST JESUS is knocking at the door to the ones that are not saved, it's up to them to open it !! PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, THERE IS POWER IN THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT !!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL
2:05 I wonder if she forgot the lyrics here? (It happens, even if you're the one who wrote them. 😉) "Look at the sky, the east to the west, that's where I threw this when you first confessed. Let it go now."

Immigrant Song
That's "Immigrant's Daughter", the title track of her 1989 album.

Saw her in 80-90's! Beautiful gal from inside out!

Ohh! How she uses her voice highs, lows and all the in-between
awesome
Who does this song- the song was done 1985 to 1995:
"He hears you-
Even when you sigh
He hears-
A whisper from a cry
He hears you-
When your falling all apart
He knows
A sound of a broken heart
*Hear & now
Sending a message through a telegraph
Hear HIM come-
Follow HIM down on a rocky path
Dry your eyes
Hide your tears
He can hear!
He hears your every heart sound!
He hears your every heart sound!
He hears your every heart sound!
If the woman WON'T CLAIM IT- then I will make it my new song!

Looks like open E tuning? Now I know a little better how to play Near To You & maybe Angels? Is that correct, @margaretbecker ?
Guitarists...christians in particular..is this DADGAD???
