My car was hit by hail and, since it's a cheap Toyota Yaris, I don't want to pay a professional (it would probably cost half the car's value)...but now I'm inspired. Thank you for sharing!

My car got nailed by a hail storm 2 days ago, its 10 years old. I am thinking of repairing the damage by my self. Thank you for making this great video and giving me some self confidence to do it my self.
So my brand new dodge was vandalized recently. Cost was nearly $7,500 to fix everything. I got the truck back and 3 days later my son opens his door and dings it against a tree. Just got this kit. Thanks for the video.
Great job and great little helper. Cant wait to give this thing a go with my son on our Highlander we purchased last week that has a couple shopping cart dings in one of the door panels.
This was fun to watch, I'm inspired! Maybe sometimes on the small dents don't pull until the glue lets go, just pull a little and take the puller off, spray some alcohol and remove the plastic piece. Then you won't have to knock down so much. Nice job!
The popping sound of the glue releasing, sends shock through surface and helps promote material to form back into original shape, but sometimes the smaller dimples/dents can use your method:)
Good video. I have a question. It’s cold where I am. Will the colder weather cause issues if I attempt to remove the dents with this kit? Or should I wait for a warmer day? It’s in the 50’s-30’s here.
Yes if the body panel is cold the dent will likely be harder to remove. You can apply some heat to the panel with a heat gun or a hairdryer to help heat the dent your trying to remove.
Thanks for the demo. I just received my kit yesterday and noticed no knock down tools. Ordered what looks like the same knock down tools that you did just three minutes before watching your video.
So you would recommend this item that it works? My car is filled with door dings from people who don’t know how to open their doors or people backing up into my car sigh. Looking to buy a repair kit. Thanks
Walk a couple hundred extra feet when parking somewhere. It is well worth the walk. Also always return shopping carts. It brings you good luck to avoid one slamming into your vehicle
I accidentally backed up and made a small dent in my car that has been driving me crazy for such a long time... Found this tool on Amazon and found your video to learn how to use it. Thank you for teaching us how! (P.s do you think it’ll work on a bumper dent as well?)
What is the difference between the clear glue sticks and the black ones? I just bought this kit, however, there are no instructions regarding the glue sticks.
They usually go by surface temps & category of strength hold. Clear ones are for cool surfaces & blacks are for hot surfaces. Both will work fine for fridge dents on
I just bought this kit and I don't know what i do wrong but i always pul up the whole thing plastic with glue on it. And with not a lot of pressure i can use my hands. Should i use less glue or is there any time that i need to w8? I was letting it dry for about 5 min. Thanks
Make sure the surface is clean of any oils & dirt & also surface temps of the panel your working with are warm. If the panel is cold the glue won’t adhere to it very well
@@JJBanuelos i have cleaned the surface really good. And preheat it also. How long should i w8 to pull? Glue always stays on the plastic it doesn't stick to the car. Should i polish it before?
@@JJBanuelos maybe it's bad glue, i have just read that temperature needs to be between 15-23°C and we have arround 28-30 right now. So maybe that is the reason?
I think most PDR workers do warm up the metal. Specially if it's a cold environment and when it is something big they are pulling. And they warm it even more around the "crown" area (Where the metal has been bent).
@@usabro410 Thanks a lot buddy. th-cam.com/video/SMqtsIe5oqw/w-d-xo.html pls check the link to see how I repaired a huge dent.It was my first time with these tools. Pls let me know what you feel about my work.
I suspect u r going to regret teaching ur boy to put a dent in the test panel..lol..”Look how good I did Daddy!!, I dented your car in 10 places and I made sure it was when we’re out and not at home!!”
People have no clue the time and skill it takes to do PDR to a FACTORY finish. Nothing compared to this but hey spend $50 and do a hail car that cost $7,000 professionally done hail repair. You end up damaging your paint and leaving high and lows everywhere.
right off the bat, one can easily tell that you're a kind and patient father bravo my man bravo
Thank you sir, I definitely am.
Yes for sure
Yeah thats awesome but a good lesson also teach your kids not to interupt , thats a great lesson my parents taught me

Dude, great son, and great job on the ding repair.
Thanks!
Excellent disclaimer young man 👌🏾
Great video, and the interaction with your son is adorable.
Appreciate it that!
That was a nice job....you can actually see the dent coming out as the reflection from the florescent light straightens out.
Appreciate it that. This kit is definitely worth it.

I was gonna buy a hood, for 3 little dents that gets me crazy, thank you for the video
I love that he told the kids and his own kid that this is just for the video! Cuz lord knows! 😂
Well done! Not perfect, but better than most professional PDR guys I have hired.
Will it work on a dent on a stainless steel dishwasher? Why did you choose the yellow stick and not the black?
Cute little apprentice you have there ... great to watch and learn with you !
Thank you! Yes he loves being with me at all times.
I found using as little glue as possible works better, and using the smaller tabs
nice thanks for the tip!
Thank you so much for the review wasn't trying to pay an arm and leg to remove the 1nch dents from my sub 👏👏👏😁😁

Yup should definitely get them out just as long as they don’t have any creases & are just dents.

Most bumpers are plastic and this kit is designed for metal, so it won't work with plastic damage (it didn't work on my Infiniti).
did it work out??

Very clear instructions!!!
Does the kit work on plastic bumpers? One person below commented that it did not. Do you have any opinion? Thanks.
Use a hair dryer

Awesome, yes this is a really great tool & kit
Today bought one , I think patients is key ..😊
How’d you get the glue off so easy?
Lynx deodorant removes the glue straight away

without any edits it prob took about less than 30min. Its a really cool tool.

how to order??
class video, i have just ordered one of those kits, hopefully it works for me
Should do fine just take your time & the dent will come out. Takes time & patience

Does it work on huge dents as well?
with bigger tabs yes or the mutl tabs that u slip a bar through and then use a slide hammer on
