Hi, Laura! What a super helpful video! I bought this a couple months ago from y our link and have used it some, but I knew I wasn't using it as well as I could. Honestly, I'm a bit impatient with learning sometimes, because I want everything "now!", 🤣so I get in my own way a lot. But sometimes I guess I just need someone to take me by the hand and just 'force' me to see the important stuff...and that's what this video did! My workflow is: Lightroom > Luminar > Photoshop

But you can use just Luminar as it works as a standalone software as well.
Or Lightroom and then Luminar. Since Luminar Neo has now layers, you could perfectly work with those. 😊

Luminar Neo works also as a standalone software. So you can use it as a plugin for Lightroom or Photoshop but also by itself. 😊

I edit on a MacBook Pro 16’ with 32gb of memory. Luminar Neo requires 8gb but they recommend 16gb. 😊

Not sure if I'm ready to make a move to Luminar however sometimes I use it for some pictures that I don't manage to get right on Capture one
We all have different workflows that work for us. If you’re happy with Capture One that’s great! 😊 I still use Adobe Lightroom for all my work and Luminar Neo as a plugin to complement my editing with all its AI tools. It works for me. :)
I looked at luminar a few times butbit seemed complicated until i watched this!!!
Right? It can be overwhelming but if you use the AI tools, it’s actually very simple. 🥰 At least till you get more familiarised with the rest of the tools. :)

Once downloaded, you just have to install it by following the instructions and activate the trial. If it asks you the details, that’s fine. Just make sure you cancel the trial before the period ends and that’s it. 🥰

I bought Luminar NEO based on this recommendation. I was charged within seconds, but I still have no access to the product - never got any activation email, can't reset password (which I never got) because the emails it said it's going to send me don't come. Can't reset password via the page - same thing, no emails coming. Their chatbot is pretty much useless and sends me links to help pages that don't work (404 error)... Horrible, horrible user experience. Don't even know where to get a refund.... It looks great on the tutorial but if 5% people have this user experience it is not worth it.
IF you are a professional, your workflow in PS is non-destructive… So you can still go back on anything and the history panel has limited use.
I know that. 😅 What I’m talking in the video is about the possibility of modify or remove any step given in Luminar Neo. Photoshop’s history doesn’t work that way. 😊 I still use Photoshop after Luminar. I have another video about it. :)
I absolutely do not recommend Luminar. I bought and regret it very much. A total waste of money. Very slow running on good hardware and ssd drive. Especially if you also have photos in RAW formats
Which computer do you use? I never had any problem. I’ve used Luminar AI in an old laptop with 16gb and it run perfectly. Now I use Luminar Neo with 32gb and I don’t have any problems either. But why didn’t you try it first? They always offer a free trial period. You could have avoided spending the money by trying first how it works in your computer. 🙏🏼
I use Luminar in a MacBook Pro from 2018 and works flawlessly. JPEG and RAW (40mp RAWs).
You must have at least 16gb ram
