I have the black Brass boot and the Diesel Crimson CXL. I love both my boots. IMO, I’m paying for a good quality boot that will last a very long time. Looking to buy another pair of Diesels soon.
Thanks for the sizing advice. I’ve just gotten a 11 Eee. And it’s like wearing my dad’s boots as a boy:). I went down one size from sneaker and half from brannock with the correct width but I guess I need another size down. The problem is shipping and returning to/from Europe. I’m already out 90euros for tax on the first pair. I hope the second fits.
I have several pairs of Grant Stone, love the diesel and the Ottawa boots. I have been hesitant about getting the brass boot because of the size issues. I am planning to go to the next stitchdown boot camp in nyc in 2024 and plan on trying them on to nail the fit. I love the commando soles, I find the extra thickness to be very comfortable on my feet and I am happy that the black brass boot comes with a commando sole. Great video by the way.
Thank you for the sizing advise. I am also EE on the Brannock. I love a EEE if I can get it but I've ended up with boots that are to i after they break in. I've also had to use a widener on EE boots.
I have black and dune cxl brass and love them both. Just did two weeks of travel in Italy with them and they did great, only issue I had was the metal shank necessitated removing them going through security in both countries. Small price to pay for good footwear.
Great video! You should post this video in the Grant Stone subreddit. It was started a little over a year ago and there are over 1730 active members and I think the members there would appreciate this video. Stop by if you’re not already part of the subreddit. Good luck and nice video!
@@DudsByDel nice! Last I checked, we are sitting at somewhere around 2170 active members. If you still haven't joined please do and link this video and I'm confident that you'll get more views! lol. Good luck!
@@DudsByDel No, I alternate between them. I dress in blacks and greys, for the most part (apart from the occasional white dress shirt, usually with a suit). Hence, black boots being my go-to! 😎

Nice! The diesels do seem like a good everything boot. I think if I get another pair from Grant Stone I’d like to go for the long wing bluchers
Nice boots. Thanks for sharing. I want to buy them this week

Ouch! I had to go waaay down, I’m 8.5 EE on the Brannock and these being 7.5EEE with some room surprised me. Good luck getting the right one

Thanks Patrick! Yeah I did have to exchange these to get the size right but it was just a matter of waiting for shipping, which wasn’t all that long
When I told Grant stone my size in the Red Wing Iron ranger which is US 9.5 EE width they sold to go for a size US 9.5 in their triple E width
Yes, l do have a pair in tan. Quality, fit, design tops. Can't wait to patina and show wear. Highly recommended

Not bad at all! And definitely up for weeks (or months!) of abuse. These boots are sturdy as hell
I couldn’t agree with you more! The one I have is navy xmcl. Love them to death! Congrats!
Really a great pair!
Just ordered the black brass boots today

What did you mean by the pull up effect is not so apparent?
When you pull “pull up” leather a lighter tone shows due to the oils waxes etc going under tension. But for black it’s less apparent
@@DudsByDel got it, thank you. I'm waiting for my Brass boot to be delivered. Can't wait to see and wear this beauty
