In my opinion, the coolest thing about undead building was that it took some time to erect the spires for summoning the constructions. Seeing them grow so fast took some of that corrupted feeling it had.

I don't know where this myth came from, but it's definitely from people who don't understand rendering engines or game development lol. You can't just stick any high poly model into an old engine and expect it to work lmao. Not to mention the graphics are clearly different (better shadowing, bump mapping, reflections, specularity etc...) which requires a modified engine. Even the menu and dialogue UI and HUD is different. People are blind lol.

This isn't the updated campaign, it's just the original maps imported into Reforged. Blizzard will release the campaign and all its changes when the game is released. But nevertheless I'm sure it will be there.

You do realise this isn't the Reforged campaign, right? This is the old unedited WC3 map imported into Reforged. We don't have the campaign yet, obviously, as that will be given to us when the game actually releases.
Well, they follow the same steps: start as a good intentioned jesus, get consumed by vengeance trying to do good, fall to the dark side, destroy what you wanted to protect in the first place, become a villain. Arthas' story is a tragedy, which isn't common in videogames (or in fiction in general for that matter) which why is so good and memorable. Actually ALL campaigns of Warcraft 3 are tragedies in one way or another. Human: Arthas, nuff said Undead: you play as the villain, live beyond your usefulness. Orc: Sail to save your people from the encroaching darkness, get caught anyway, your best friend is corrupted, he redeems himself but he dies shortly after. Night Elves: You saved the world but you lost your inmortality, the worldtree is damaged, part of the forest you defended ended up corrupted and will take decades to heal, (ilidan only) you save the day but get scorned and exiled by your brother and the woman you love. Wardens: you fail to kill your nemesis by your own fault and then get captured by him. Blood Elves: You START at the tragic part and go from bad to worse and then to slightly less bad. Forsaken: You get your freedom but you are still cursed to undeath and the one who did it to you escaped and became a nigh unstoppable demigod and you still have to deal with his armies and an army of zealots who want to destroy you. Scourge: You are betrayed and almost killed like 6 times but in the end you win, and the world is screwed.

To me it was kinda obvious that Warcraft 3: Reforged is some form of a nostalgia cashgrab. There is no real idea behind remaking all games that are already great as they are with their consistent and artistic artstyle. Certain sacrifices are made in favour of having more purity in animation and visual status. However those certain sacrifices undermine the experience and transform something that was great into something that is now kinda shallow. But enough poetic talk, what I'm trying to talk is that Reforged will not re-ignite your nostalgic times of Warcraft 3.

Characters models are quite cool, I love to see an old childhood game that comes to look better even if the old one didn't age that much imo thanks to the general art theme. But I'm not into the new environment that much, trees, straw packs, and some buildings don't look that good compared to the rest. I wonder if this is gonna change a bit and look better in the end or if it's the final render.

Besides a few details to be worked on, to me it looks just right. What constitues a succes for me is that it gives me the same atmospheric feeling as the classic version.
Or.. They can just released it now and let us play, while they also keep improving/updating the graphics. Because seeing this " hackers " everywhere able to play campaign while we can't, is quite triggering for me.

Trees need more color and I don’t mean the trees on top of blight ground. Example the ground. Dirt and the grass and the rocks. The city walls look way to smooth. Lighting detail for characters rings and effects like the dreadlords green teleportation needs to be more profound. The gold mine at 4:09. Animations need to be worked on. Characters lips don’t move when they talk. The ghouls tongue looks rubbery and unnatural. The fire with the dreadlord consuming of the humans needs more detail. (An example of this is comparing the fire at 16:28 with the burning buildings and at 7:00) Why does the meat wagons attack look purple instead of red when they land? And almost everything looks too smooth. And need I explain the ents from the Sasquatch fight ? And I know his name is lightbringer but...20:55. Throw a little ruggedness and gritty in there please.

How did you manage to play with voice over? I opened the maps from the editor but when I play the voice over is bugged
I had to manually reinsert the sound files with the editor, as well as playing with the triggers a bit.
