One of the best Honda ATVs ever made. The only problem I have with mine is hard climbing in the hills here in Northern California. It needs an improved cooling system to help the engine, transmission and keep my legs cooler. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
You make a good point. I remember some hot days where that fan kicks on and really heats up your legs! I can only imagine how it feels in a warm climate.
Just picked up my 03 with just over 900h that sat outside for 3 years for $350 Charged the battery and everything lights up, just waiting on a couple items to get her going Super hyped
You ride, like I like to ride. I don't feel the need to go 70-80 mph. Nothing stopping me. But I like to enjoy the ride, and the surrounding views. As I'm not in a motocross race. This certainly isn't the machine for that.
I can tell you that those machines that were owned by the group I rode with on that trail ride - are no longer around today. :) Mine is still going strong.
Good Evening Mon Ami, Honda make OUTSTANDING ATV's Four-wheelers, the famers that I was working back in 1982 still has his Honda 3 wheelers 👍🧐👌That is 47 yrs old 🧐👍 🚧🚧Very Nice Yellow Black Color 🚧🚧Marvelous Informative Video Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
There was no hour meter or miles indicator on my Honda 185 3-wheeler I had as a teenager -but I was on that thing every afternoon. Sometimes trail riding, sometimes hunting, and lots of times taking care of the animals and property.
Honda is a very reliable brand, no question about it. The only drawback, for me anyway, is their price. Higher in cost than a Kawasaki or Yamaha or Polaris. A Kawasaki Brute Force or Yamaha Grizzly are slightly lower in price when I've shopped around. I know those are newer models, but I'm not well versed on a lot of ATV models. But nevertheless a Honda is top when it comes to reliability and longevity. 👍 Very nice ATV Chad! Thank you for sharing!
Well said! I think Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Polaris all make good ATVs. I've certainly had no regrets about this Honda Foreman. Thanks for watching!
I payed $500 for a basket case 2004 450s that lived a hard life and probably has been sunk in just about every mud hole it came across. I have disassemble the engine and have all new parts to go back in it to make it like new, plus refreshing the rest of the atv replacing the front axles, steering shaft ,brakes, wheel bearings and just about what needs done to get it back up and running. I remember when these machines were new and people who bought them new got lots of use out of them. This is a pretty tough ATV that can take lots of abuse before it stops working, and probably a better ATV than the new stuff today.
I forgot to mention that I installed a couple of small LED backup lights to see where I am going in the dark. The also work good for field dressing a deer before heading back to camp.
I love honda small engine stuff that being said I've got myself a 2000 Kawasaki prairie 300 2x4 4wheeler. I paid $1000 for it going on 3 years ago and I love it to death. I would love to get a Honda 4wheeler but I'd probably get a Honda side-by-side since I've got 3 kids and a wife. But I'm in no hurry to buy one of those yet lol. I agree with you that buying something and taking care of it is important. I see alot of stuff get bought beat up and tossed out. Makes me sad. Your machine looks great by the way!
Have a 2001 with less than 800 miles. Looks new. Original tires. Not for sale Use it for sporting clay courses. Oil change once a year regardless of low use.
Did you replace carb or have carb rebuilt. Just wondering because oem carbs can be expensive a carb kit and rebuild is normally cheaper. I rebuild the carbs on my yamahas kits for the ones I have are less then 40$
I replaced it with a new OEM Honda one. It was several hundred dollars if I recall. But I didn’t want to risk using a cheaper brand, and I didn’t know how to rebuild one. Thanks for watching and asking!
There are a few websites that show a "book value" for an ATV. But mostly you go by the market value - what a unit similar to what you're looking at (or have) are selling for in the current market.
When I think back at the many days of work we've done with this quad over the past 22 years, in addition to the many fun rides through the woods - I can't even believe it. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
It has no miles on it though, i already have almost 4000 miles (3700 miles) on my 2022 cfmoto as well as 202 hours. Although i know the hondas can last for thousands of hours and even 60 000+ miles.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I think the hours stay low because we just ride here on our property. Even though we have some acreage - we don't put many miles on the machine just traveling around here.

That’s awesome! Congratulations. Keep us posted on how it goes.
I have 2001 3200 miles bought used batteries and an Amazon carburetor only thing I have ever done it’s a great machine.
Great video 👍
That's awesome, they really are great machines!

The Toyota of ATVs!
True - very reliable!
Can't go wrong with a Honda.
Very true. It's been a very reliable and useful tool.

You're going to have yourself a great machine once you get it all put back together. Congratulations!

thanks for the comment! I appreciate you watching. Side-by-side UTVs are certainly nice for family rides! Enjoy that time - the kids grow up SO fast!
I also have the same bike but mine Isa 2001 honda 450 s,Changed the battery once since I owned it from brand new and has over 22000 k m on it
It's nice to hear of another Honda Foreman that's still going strong!

Use it for sporting clay courses. Oil change once a year regardless of low use.
I use Lucas 20/50 full synthetic. Figure heavier oil better for the high temps here in AZ. That viscosity breakdown thing 😮
Also do not use pump gas. True fuel or the walmart stuff.
Pump gas would gum up the carb. True fuel is expensive but low use justifies.
Thanks! These are great machines. That's an interesting use!

Buddy, now that is a long-term review..
In another 10 years, it'll be that much longer! :)
Where do you find the book value?
There are a few websites that show a "book value" for an ATV. But mostly you go by the market value - what a unit similar to what you're looking at (or have) are selling for in the current market.
52000 miles and the drive splines of the engine are worn out on one we have...
52,000 miles! That's amazing!!
Very nice little tank ..🙂↕️💯💪🐿️🇨🇦🇺🇸🫡

@@PurpleCollarLife Yup, makes sense :)
This is probably the last atv you will ever need to buy then, it will last for the next 50 years, lol :p
