I stopped believing in and falling for the hype. Simply because fragrances are so subjective. Most of my blind buys were disappointing. What worked best for me is sampling before buying. I’ve easily sampled more than 120 of the most talked about fragrances. And I compiled a wish list of only around 15!
This is indeed the only right way : follow your nose.

@@asmajarrar86 there has to be some site that sells decants. I live in the US so I don’t know about the UK. I think you should find something if you search online for fragrance decants.

Thanks Demi, always agree totally with your recommendations. I bought Musc Noir Rose when you first talked about it. It is one of my signature scents now. It uplifts my spirit every time I put it on. The longevity may not be extended but who cares? The sillage is there and I receive compliments from everyone when I wear this. It agrees with my body chemistry. I am getting Possibilities as soon as I finish typing this! I just love your whole aesthetic and honesty, Demi! 💞

Great list! Agree with you on all of them. They are incredible fragrances but as always what smells great for someone smells awful to someone else.
I wore Encens Suave to the Oscars in March. Loads of compliments and very distinctive. I have two others in this list. Must try Possibilities. You have great taste! Always willing to try something you have recommended
i started mixing minuit et demi with prada candy (never thought i’d find a reason to use that one again lo) but omgggg it’s such a good combo!!!

I'm happy you put me on the Erba Pura experience, by far my most complimented perfume!! people chase me down and I have to write down what i'm wearing for them!!! I have Dama Bianca but honestly the experience is very subdued even though I love it but I don't think it projects or has any lasting power! Erba Pura stays on my cloths for weeks!!!😍

MFK oud satin mood is so good I feel like im wasting it if I spray it on myself. I just pop the cap and sniff then put it back. If you get it on your clothes, it will last for weeks. It even lasts through a shower. Definately a very STRONG projection. 1 spray is more than enough.
I managed to buy Babycat direct from YSL (been waiting ages for it to get back in stock here in the UK) and WOW! it is off the scale good - I also have MFK's OSM and love that too but very different - love your video's Demi (oh I have your fragrance - it does remind me of Penhalagon's Changing Constance - but the Cardamom in your's gives it the edge - stunning)

I own SHL God of Fire (and Venom Incarnat), Xerjoff Erba Pura, LP Possibilities (new to my collection)….you are right, they’re definitely worth the hype. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 compliment getters, crowd pleasers, excellent performers.
Also new to my collection and definitely worth the hype is Duchessa which I’ve tried so long to get since I saw your Gritti video…Fortunately, it became available(and always sold out) in the US last month and I finally got my own bottle. Love your recommendations!
Erba pura or god of fire?
MUSC RAVAGEUR is my current favorite. i’m 27 F and i can say it’s not just for men, you can rock it as a woman and you have to wear it shamelessly! The musk in there is shameless! I don’t have any other fragrance that evokes in me the same feeling I get when smelling this. It’s intoxicating.. stimulating 🙊 maybe mostly for the bedroom 😅
I am female and own the perfume as well. I did not know it was unisex, did not suspect it! I love the musk opening and the soft sweet dry down! It’s sexy as hell!

I own a very large perfume collection and many of Fragrance Du Bois and I have to say that Minuit et Demi is without a doubt on my top 10 forever! Definitely worth the hype! I highly recommended.

I first smelled Encens Suave in Cannes last month when I was looking for a gift for a friend. It was love at first sniff and I loved it so much that I bought it as a present but ended up kepping it for myself! 😂😂 As for Oud Satin Mood, it is one of the most sophisticated and elegant perfume I have ever smelt 🥰😍

Herba Pura (for me) has the same kind of base as Tiziana Terenzi. I legit don’t get fruit. I only get a super sharp musky base. It’s beast mode. I like the base, but I wish there was more fruit.

I love minuit et demi, but for the fragrance enthusiast that has over 70 bottles and have sampled dozens… it is just nothing ground braking. The biggest problem with it is the longetivity and the sillage, but as a scent it really smells good🎉

I've been binge watching your videos the last 3nights.. and I am really glad I found your channel. I was about to spend $450 on a bottle of Creed Aqua Florienta and I said to myself there has to to be good quality fragrances similiar to Creed but less expensive. It turns out there are [many] that are just as good as Creed but are about 25%-40% less expensive. I already ordered several discovery sets from 4 different brands: Frassai, Kilian, Metiere Premiere, and Vilhelm. I tried getting one from Amouage but it was out of stock. One brand I have noticed that you don't mention is Hermes? Maybe I missed it? Anyways love your videos and I hope I find a few really good fragrances out of the sets I ordered. 😊

My absolute top 2 fragrances amongst a collection of around 200 is BDK Gris Charnel and FdB Minuit et Demi. Both stunning.

Musc Ravageur is one of my top 5 faves of all time. The other 4 are Overture Man, Naxos, Grand Soir & Tobacco Oud......I can't resist it, I'm adding 5 more, Interlude Black Iris & Royal Tobacco, Boundless, Material & Renaissance.

I have learned to avoid the hype. It seems like the scents that are most hyped are the ones I like the least. Were my expectations set too high? Very possible, but normally that's not the case. I tend to like very unique fragrances. One of my absolute favorite scents is Gucci Guilty Absolut. This scent seems to have taken a beating in the market, but I absolutely love it. Same with Michael Malul Jet Black Reserve. I've heard very little about this one but it's one of my favorites.
Now sis why do we need to have the same taste in Fragrances 😫 I was hoping not to love La Perla but I’m in love… You’ve never failed me… we’ll apart from Gris Charnel

I bought Minuit et Demi first time she released. I was very hyped and happy for Demi! Even though it's expensive i don't feel like a wasted money! It now macerated incredibly. Also colour became darker. 😊😊😇

I love NR Musc noir rose, that is my go to fragrance these days, it is sexy as you say and I'd say elegant and classy and so is Pure musc in my opinion

No question, but that Babycat is a masterpiece fragrance. It quickly became the signature scent I'd been looking, for since Lagerfeld discontinued K.L. Homme in the early 90s. I'm only sorry that it's so damn expensive and difficult to find. On picking up my most recent bottle at El Corte Ingles (what any sensible Western department store wants to be when it grows up) in Lisbon, the salesgirl told me they have trouble getting it in and keeping it in stock. Imagine stuffing the pockets of a super-luxurious suede jacket with top-shelf incense and then storing it for six months in a suitcase filled with the highest quality Madagascar vanilla pods. Dark, mysterious and irresistibly alluring, I can't imagine a day when Babycat wouldn't hold a place of prominence in my wardrobe.
I bought my husband a full bottle of Layton immediately after smelling a sample of it. So fresh, so masculine, so delectable-smelling. I can't keep my hands off him whenever he wears it.

I can only imagine what a cool fragrance Minuit et Demi is, because I haven’t been able to find it anywhere so far to try it I didn’t even find it in London in Selfridge and Harrods, they told me it was out of stock. Has anyone noticed that grand soir has been possibly reformulated? I used to have a sample a few years ago and it smelled amazing, I recently got a bottle and it smells VERY SLIGHTLY more watered down and less natural smelling but I'm not sure if its changed it also could be the fact that I purchased the bottle in the summer so obviously the scent will smell/wear a bit different than in the winter.
Have you seen the ad for AIR Eau de Parfum from Air Company ? This new technology is supposedly the fragrance future? You should definitely review!
I prefer Erba Gold which is almost the same only better. Easy to buy at Selfridges online (exclusive to them). Musc Noir Rose is stunning.

I bought Musc Noir Rose immediately after it launched here in the US. I do like the scent, very beautiful, but the way it was hyped up, I guess I was just expecting more. This didn’t seem to necessarily stand out from all my others ..
I agree that it doesn't deserve the hype. I tested this and it does not last very long and is a very light skin scent. I thought it was nothing special. Definitely Not full bottle worthy, try before you buy.
