I know this is gonna sound crazy but with all the craziness going on, it feels so good to just watch your videos and quiet the noise. Laura and Aaron, please keep the videos coming. XOXO
Yes! It was so good to leave the morning news and go outside, sit on my porch with my coffee, listen to the birds twerping and watch this blog with Laura and Aaron. That sweet smile of Laura's is more beautiful than any plants she has ever put out! Such a sweet spirit and sooo relaxing! It's beyond words!!!! We are all truly blessed to have these ppl visit our homes so often! Yea!!! 😍🌱❤🙂🌹
This might sound crazy, but when I started this video I teared up. Didn’t realize how much I needed some normalcy in my day. As a nursing student and a caregiver in our hospitals, self care is at the top of my priorities with the threat of the virus among us. Thank you for being apart of my self care. I love everything you do! If you ever hold another garden tour I’ll be there. Just couldn’t this year, you planned it right before finals 🤓
I felt the same. I’m a nurse and had just gotten home from a long shift. I normally watch early in the mornings before leaving for work. Gardening and Laura has a way of keeping me calm and relaxed...a way to unwind from a demanding job. Thank you Garden answer for being an inspiration and a blessing! I was just thinking 🤔, if I get quarantined at home, I can get a lot gardening projects done😂. Stay safe and healthy everyone and God bless!
Laura you have really opened my eyes to considering foliage color. It used to be something I never thought about (it was all about the blooms)! I'm even starting to like chartreuse... something I NEVER thought I would hear myself say! Thank you for doing what you do, you're the best!
Sweet Stuff hi , they propagate sooo easily from offsets in spring , this rejuvenates them , when they are leggy just replant deeper ,the l8me one is most prone to rust spots , but not the others , have a look at heucharaholics Website in england , wonderful
@@christinebeames2311 Thank you for the information! I'm planning on going to the garden center soon to get some for a project this spring/summer. We still have snow on the ground. =( I'll have to check that channel out too! I wonder how often you have to do that? I hope they're not TOO much maintenance as I'm getting older! Lol!
I was waiting on the magic...I just knew Aaron was gonna have you on double screen working both pots simultaneously but the "walk by and done" was cool.
I have a ton of Heucheras a friend gave me and this looks like a fun way to use them. I love spur of the moment "impractical" projects. It is how I fly. :) I was in my greenhouse yesterday starting more seeds and it felt great in there at 80 degrees with it being 65 outside. Of course, being March we will get snow this weekend but soaking up the warm sunshine for a day was a treat.
I did this a couple of years ago, only my pot was smaller. I managed to cram 4 deer-resistant heuchera's in the pot and it was so pretty. They were happy and even flowered. I was so thrilled. Apparently, so were the deer. One morning I went out to find everything had been chomped down to stubs. I cried and laughed. At least I have photos. 😂🤣
Gidget I’ve been propagating a lot of begonias lately and heucheras are pretty easy too. Easy to grow but you have to watch for black vine weevils( grub) bc they LOVE them.
Ouch!! Forgive me but I'm picturing a lavender field in France so I feel compelled to ask; did u have crop insurance on them or not? I would think that many lavender would be a possible business venture & could possibly be insured just like we insure crops in the Midwest... Call your Ins Agent if u haven't already & ask about crop insurance & your Representative & ask if the US Dept of Ag has any subsidies available for Herb Farming.... you never know unless you ask. if you already have, please excuse my inquiry & suggestion.
Thank you for suggesting and sharing that information. 😃Unfortunately the 400 pods in the trays were damaged prior to planting due to shipping . The company was nice enough to replace them . The wet spring we had here last year was absolutely crazy . The soil was pure mud to start the beds , therefore allowed the young 2in pods to not thrive . Meanwhile we did transplant like company said to do . Propagated a lot of them so we will keep our fingers crossed 🤞
You have the spring planting bug. It is very contagious...I suffer from it myself but like you stemmed off the illness with a spring planting project of my own. Loved the video and yes the plants look great.
Laura and Aaron do it again. I Love those containers!! as well as the plantings!!!! Thank you both so much for continuing to provide such great quality content and information.
Love the idea of putting something in planters that can also be used in the landscape. Would love to see more ideas for that. Money saving and still looks great. Not sure if it’s the music in the videos or if it’s Laura’s positive attitude. Much appreciated these days - thank you!
I absolutely love love love heucheras !!!!! They have the most beautiful foliage and look great anywhere !!!! The potting was a great idea !!!! The flowers are dainty and make the plants most interesting ! I will be adding more of these beauties to my flower gardens !!!!
First those urns are my favorite! I thought for sure you would use the centerpiece but I continue to be amazed by your creativity!! Love the idea of keeping them in the nursery pot in certain situations. Inspiration?? YES!!
@ 50 seconds in it looks as if there is a mouse next to you for over a minute -RUSSELL where are you?! Your videos are entertaining in more ways than one! lol
I took the plunge into drip irrigation bc of these videos. Bought two kits this week, one for landscaping and one for patios. Super excited to get it going! Seems way easier than I thought.
Laura such a great idea - plant in the container and then out in the garden later in the season - two looks, one plant, and you don't feel so rushed to get everything in the ground at the beginning of the season. You got me hooked on Heucherellas & Heucheras to go along side my hostas! To you both keep up the great work and take time to sit back and enjoy your hard work.
Yes coffee with Laura and beautiful plants what a great way to start the day!!!!I really want to get some Heuchera for our playground this year and I am glad you went back and clarified the light requirement as I think I have a better spot for the Apple Twist if I can get one. I love to see how excited you are when planting new things and the color on all of these plants is just amazing!!! Thank you for being here!
I found you just in time. Watching this again today, but I have worked in my garden everyday during the Pandemic. It has truly saved my life. It’s like nothing bad is in the world when I have my hands in dirt. You have lent me so much inspiration by watching how you create. Sending love and can’t wait to hear about your little girl arriving!
Those urns are so gorgeous you could leave them empty, but I love the way you planted them. That shape of urn looks so good without a thriller and the heucheras are so fluffy and lush on their own. They remind me of lettuce and always make me want a salad. Great color combination. Well done! ~ Lisa
They look absolutely gorgeous Laura! I have to say that besides the containers my very favorite is the dark foliage one... I like them all but that's my fave. 🤗🤗💜💜
So happy you got those containers. Perfect spot for them. What a knockout welcoming entrance. Love the colors. Your so clever Laura. Really different. Gorgeous. btw it is such a mental health break to see you every morning. I feel your JOY. Thank you. God bless💚
I didn’t even know what a heuchera was, before watching you 3 years ago. I’m in love with those beautiful leaves! Also, love you rockin the new garden Vans!!
Passion of gardening is so obvious. U dont treat it as a chore or a necessity for an end goal. You truly enjoy the process and that's why people are inspired by you and that the ACT of gardening is your expertise. 100% enjoyed this video. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 love. ...and we love future laura. Retrospect is always necessary. 🥳🥳🥳
Always a pleasure to watch these videos! Nice transition work, btw, Aaron! Seeing Laura walk from right to left and suddenly there was a filled pot was a really cool visual. Thank you both so much for all that you do for the gardening community!
Absolutely love it! I love plants that bring this much color without flowers. Those plants being wider, lower than the fence & off the step looks more appealing than compared to before. It wasn't bad I love the black ones but this just catches the eye more.
beautiful, beautiful colours and foliage! They look so pretty at that entryway. That tip on creating height in the container is so cool - I'm always learning so much from your videos, thank you!
I just love those Heuchera's together. I can imagine you just pinch yourself with your beautiful home and go out to a job that is just what you want and it is yours. Then of course your little family. I so enjoy you everyday and look forward to seeing you. Joyce
A heuchera bouquet, this looks gorgeous. Thanks for the cut in regarding sun in relation to the colors os the heuchera. I have mostly dark leafed ones in my garden. My favorite is one called Midnight Rose, its a purple with tiny pink spots on the leaves. For any twin cities gardeners check Bachmans for this one, it's really gorgeous.
Thank you for this. The pieces are stunning with all the colors you chose. I liked the little trick you used to create height for the center of the container. Always learning from you on a daily basis👍
U r the best, the taste on colours, texture, pots, estructure n planning u do is impecable, I’ve seen other bloggers n they lack at least 2 or 3 pieces of info we all need to be successful. U r THE BEST, u r blessed. The happiness u give to all of us and the hope and faith in the beauty of planting, the patience and faith is a huge addition to everyone lives. Thank u
First I needed Hellebores now I need Heucheras! My garden is looking better and better thanks to Laura! And I do like Proven Winners products. On a side note the iron railings off the porch are gorgeous too!
I bought 4 Carnival Limeade Heuchera last spring and planted them in an area by the patio under the deck in my backyard. Through the summer growing season I noticed the leaves on each of the plants wilting and dying off. Little by little I lost all but one of the plants. After doing some research online I believe the plants succumb to weevils. Have you had any experience with weevils eating the roots of your Heuchera plants? This has not discouraged me - the one remaining plant is doing very well, and once the garden center near me has more of the Carnival Limeade Heuchera in stock this spring I plan to replant. I like the bright pop of apple green around my patio.
Wow! I love the planters! They are gorgeous, love the Heuchera's!!! The color is beautiful, thank you for the clarification on the light requirements! Good idea on keeping some plants in their nursery containers!! 😍🌿🌞🌳🌿
Love those planters! They are so perfect for that spot. And I love how you filled them with color without flowers! Thank you for clarification on sun requirements. So helpful. Aaron's special effects are wonderful. Add lots of interest to already very interesting videos. Blessings!
oh my.. oh my.. oh my.... that planter is amazing. just stunning. raining here along the coast of Maine today and snow is almost gone. looking forward to planting. I know its too early so thanks for the sunshine and video..
Love that design!!! One REQUEST: When planting, will you please do more filming at the angle of 5:17 so that we can see how the roots/rootball should be situated and surrounded by soil?
Thank you for the tip on sun requirements. I have the green ones under my trees in large containers and they never faded. Our Winter here in NC was so mild they kept the color. I just cleaned them and they are growing fast. I have other varieties with the dark leaves mostly in shade and they do very well. It works for me to keep them protected from the sun during the Summer. Your containers are lovely. Can’t wait to see your tulips on the ground and the ones you have in containers. As always, great work!🌸🌸🌸
Oh Laura, this is my absolute favourite. I am such a sucker for colour coming from foliage. I learned the trick of slanting the plant when planting a few years ago and it makes quite a difference in my containers. Oh yeah, I’m also super jealous of your 60 degree temperatures. I was out yesterday cleaning one of my flower beds in 45 degrees! Brrrrrr
I love this arrangement and the urns are gorgeous, I want them! The patchwork look is so unique. I'm new to heucheras and have only started planting them in the last couple of years. They are so pretty and I appreciate the tip about the lighter they are the less tolerant to sun. Aaron does such a great job on the effects in the videos. I agree with some of the other comments, your videos are a breath of fresh air in these times we are all going through right now. Keep them coming!
Heucheras are my favorite foliage plant to put in the shade they give so much color and there are so many different types. I love this video, I have several varieties and plan on collecting them all for my shade garden.
Okay excuse me with the awesome editing, it’s always been good but I enjoyed the little montage and watching the foliage dancing to the music as she was planting them hahaha awesome!!!
I can’t wait to go to the plant nursery. I’m going to be running to get this arrangement, I’m going to copy exactly. Thank you Laura. I’m excited Lowe’s has the tall ceramic planter on sale this month! Woo how! I’m doing the happy dance! 🤗🎉
These planters are stunning! The heucheras are perfection and show off the gorgeous planters while still being show-stoppers themselves! Love this so much! 💚🌸
Hi Laura and Aaron! Those Savanna urns are beautiful with the Heuchera and Heucherella you chose. For me, I would only use the darker colors and not added the "orangey" ones. My favorite is the 'Black Pearl', then the 'Silver Gumdrop'.
So with the change of known light requirements, will you be using the euphorbia? I guess time and temps will tell. Thanks for bringing joy to us in a world that has so much unknown. I appreciate the calmness that plantings bring with them and the fun and so much joy you bring too. 🙏 😊
Years later I finally purchased 3 PW silver gum drops heuchera for a new flowerbed. Found them discounted 🙌. I would've never picked these on my own but I love Laura's garden so I had to try them.
I know this is gonna sound crazy but with all the craziness going on, it feels so good to just watch your videos and quiet the noise. Laura and Aaron, please keep the videos coming. XOXO
Yes, I agree! I hope they realize how much joy they bring to us.
JeZori lol yes!! I was just saying that.

Emily R. Thank you for all you and all medical staff do. Please be careful and safe. My daughter is a lab tech assistant so also concerned about her.
thank you for being on the front lines during this crisis and other times... please be careful!!
I felt the same. I’m a nurse and had just gotten home from a long shift. I normally watch early in the mornings before leaving for work. Emily R. God bless you!
I want to add my gratefulness also, for you and the medical community for all the sacrifices you are making during this crisis.
I wondered how the green plants in the center were so high. Kept them in the pots to give height, very clever.
Laura you have really opened my eyes to considering foliage color. It used to be something I never thought about (it was all about the blooms)! I'm even starting to like chartreuse... something I NEVER thought I would hear myself say! Thank you for doing what you do, you're the best!

Playin' In My Yard I think they have a designated video editor now since projects are so frequent and time consuming.
Playin' In My Yard I agree. That dissolve with her walking past the fully planted pot really caught my eye. Very cool!!!
I believe Aaron is still very much involved with the editing but he does have help 😁.

That edit where the second pot filled up - wow! That pot is stunning. The leaf detail is beautiful.
Beautiful! And having the containers a bit further apart makes the entrance look more welcoming and balanced.

Gidget I know it’s always something. My FIL who was a farmer would say I plant 1/3 or the animals, 1/3 for the bugs and 1/3 to me to sell.
Laura you have kindled my interest for plants with beautiful foliage. Thank you! I never knew plants could be so beautiful just for their foliage. 🥰
That looks like a bunch of colorful lettuce. It looks amazing!!!
I was thinking that the green one looked like a huge lettuce!
Good tip on the apple twist. I planted one last year under a tree facing west and that afternoon sun was just too much. Live and learn!
Love you videos!!! Can you please do a video on zone 9 planting please🙏🏻🙏🏻
I live in Las Vegas so need something that loves sun

Keeping it in its pot was the perfect solution. Mine over wintered in the ground okay but are not as lush as those. I hope they will fill out quickly!

Love that design!!! One REQUEST: When planting, will you please do more filming at the angle of 5:17 so that we can see how the roots/rootball should be situated and surrounded by soil?
YES
So cheerful, lovely colors, looks like icecream cones with different flavors 😊
Loved the “future Laura” tip. Thank you!
Well that make senses that the dark the leaf is the more sun it can take, thanks Laura for that info. 👍🏼
Howdy y'all, good morning, wow what a wake up call!!!! Just glorious 🤠thanks, have a blessed day👪💝

Laura, with the “things” the way they are going and school and events shutting down, I would love to see some kid friendly garden activities!
Teri Harmon she’s got fairy gardens for days and a really cute fairy garden with a cute road for hot wheels cars!
Good idea! :) We need healthy boredom busters. Hah

I love mixed Heuchera (Coral Bells) together!❤🧡💜💚
Love love Heuchera! I have two flower beds flanking a walkway full of Heuchera and its amazing. Love those planters, perfect placement ❤️
Oh my! That arrangement is so beautiful! What a breath of fresh air. Keep up the beautiful work you do 💐🌱💜🙏👌
GORGEOUS! I just picked up some hellebores and huechera at a flower show yesterday and I can't wait to get out in my garden to plant them!

I have heucheras under my front porch that are flowering and they look majestic.

Okay excuse me with the awesome editing, it’s always been good but I enjoyed the little montage and watching the foliage dancing to the music as she was planting them hahaha awesome!!!
Hi Laura! Love how the planters are full of color.. thanks for the tips and tricks. 🌺
I can’t wait to go to the plant nursery. I’m going to be running to get this arrangement, I’m going to copy exactly. Thank you Laura. I’m excited Lowe’s has the tall ceramic planter on sale this month! Woo how! I’m doing the happy dance! 🤗🎉
Elegant entrance. 🌷 The larger urns look perfect.
The Apple twist color is gorgeous against the darker colors!!
Wonderful colors and fun to watch!
I look forward to seeing what you have in mind for their permanent home. I love Heuchera.
I am so falling in love with Heucheras!
I love heucheras and using this beautiful color combination in a container is a wonderful idea and a refreshing change. The urns are lovely.
I’m into gorgeous foliage now so this appeals to me
These planters are stunning! The heucheras are perfection and show off the gorgeous planters while still being show-stoppers themselves! Love this so much! 💚🌸
I hope they bloom before you move them. I'd love to see that!
How beautiful! Your so talented! Who would’ve thought to do this? Thanks for all the great ideas. ❤️
Hi Laura and Aaron! Those Savanna urns are beautiful with the Heuchera and Heucherella you chose. For me, I would only use the darker colors and not added the "orangey" ones. My favorite is the 'Black Pearl', then the 'Silver Gumdrop'.
I'm team Aaron on this one. I find the containers without thrillers more attractive.
So with the change of known light requirements, will you be using the euphorbia? I guess time and temps will tell. Thanks for bringing joy to us in a world that has so much unknown. I appreciate the calmness that plantings bring with them and the fun and so much joy you bring too. 🙏 😊
Gorgeous 😍 and a much needed bit of cheer
I think its beautiful!! I have always wanted those low bowl concrete pieces, theyre so.. regal!
Years later I finally purchased 3 PW silver gum drops heuchera for a new flowerbed. Found them discounted 🙌. I would've never picked these on my own but I love Laura's garden so I had to try them.
