20 yrs agobwhen I downsized I bought big Sterlite plastic containers w lids. I whittled down my clothes & now only need 2 to rotate summer/ winter clothing, keep stacked corner bedroom, have a 3rd w blankets etc, stack bottom, old towels on top my huge cat loves to sleep there!! I helped for yrs w5of my 8 grandkids, we have awesome memories, they grown have families, all live 6hrs away. I'm not as close to other 2 grands, their parents always lived different states, but I always send Birthday, Christmas cards w $$ in, told by 2 of those that they have kept every card I always wrote encouragement in, family is such a blessing in old age. Feel so sorry for the little boy who didn't get his gift. He handled it well but (I know they said he would get it at home) but he won't forget that holiday. Glad he has the gift from you guys.

You should just take all the summer stuff and put it away in your fancy new storage facility. Take the empty bins that you have and put the clothes in there and plastic bags.
Don’t stress it will all be okay. Being together is what is most important.
