Really few people put so much effort to understand what the artists are trying to convey. Seriously applaud you for that. BewhY is an artist that puts so much meaning into everything he does and it's important to go deep into it like you say

I am from south Korea. This song means a lot to Koreans. Many people do not know the history of aggression because Japan is better known for its international status and culture. They are the great independence fighters who made South Korea today. So far, the Japanese government is teaching indicating Dokdo as Japanese territory, with the distorted textbooks. But historically, it is clearly South Korea's territory. So far, Japan does not recognize the Japanese military sexual slavery. When many people all over the world listen to this song, I hope they understand and listen to our ancestors' hard work.

It's because the people who lost world war 2 remain in power positions.

@@toodledoo82 I agree with that. South Korea is currently conscripted. So I'm also an active-duty soldier. I hope this fact will be spread to many people because they learn about the history of being invaded here.

This is how I’ve been wanting to word my comment on his video. I couldn’t word it right. I hope one day the textbooks will be corrected bc our ansestors didn’t fight and lose their lives, families lives just for their efforts to be hidden by other people or other countries who have the power to cover their mistakes up!. 🇰🇷 대한민국 만세 🇰🇷

This type of rap reminds me of that scene at the end of the movie, "Beat Street". I remember thinking this wasn't just a rap, it was a social commentary. If you combine rap with serious subjects I believe there's a power that can move one's soul. Too bad not many rappers get into this. I realize the reason why I disliked rap wasn't because of it's style but because of the subject matter many artists today waste their time on.

Sometimes i think that someone created "cultural appropriation" hysteria to prevent the natural blend of cultures that started with globalization process, east blend into west and etc , we see how music encompasses different cultures: african beats with korean style., We see how people dive into other culture wanting experience something different, i wont even start on fashion...so sometimes i think i believe some benefit from devisiveness of "cultural appropriation" that is left as physical borders gradually loose sense

Thank you so much, also for me the song means to not hate Japan as much, as a Korean we know, we let that happen to our selves. Japan, China has always attacked Korea thru out history. He's saying, let's not focus on past or focus on hate on Japan, let's focus on our selves and become stronger.

Thank you for all your effort and sincerity in trying to understand the culture and history of Korea, really respect that and deeply impressed by that! Those people in old photographs are considered to be heroes who sacrificed their life fighting for freedom, most Koreans are familiar with all those people from history textbooks, choreography is their real handwriting some are even written before their execution by Japanese. Japan had occupied Korea for 30+ years and at that time even forbid Korean people to speak and write Korean but force them to study Japanese at school. Because the Korean Peninsula was strictly controlled by Japanese at that time, so Korean independence fighters can only succeed in setting up a temporary government office in Shanghai, China where they have more freedom than homeland Korea. And after a successful bomb attack at

And after their successful bomb attack at one of Japanese military high officials& generals’ party in Shanghai - celebration -of winning a-battle with Chinese , the Korean temporary government became famous both among Japanese and Chinese. Therefore , the temporary government office in Shanghai had to move 7 times from 1919 to 1940 (to different cities and provinces of China) to run from Japanese military until the world war 2 was ceased in 1945. It was really a heartbreaking history of Korea. And those scenes of demo and protest in 60s, 70s, 80s are more against domestic tyranny and for democratic government.

In the lyrics, Bewhy repeated 3 times “Korea Urrah” and that is really brilliant and meaningful arrangement. Because “Korea urra”means “korea hurray”in Russian. And it’s the very sentence that famous Korean independence fighter- An Joong Gun shouted for 3 times just before he fired a gun at Japanese official Ito Hirobumi at train station in Harbin, China - a city in northeast of China which is near from Russia and there were lots of Russian military at that time. It’s really amazing how Bewhy collected all those historical events which can deeply touch Korean’s heart emotion into lyrics and video scenes, at the same time he encourages people to look back history to move forward for a better future but not revenge or negative feeling. You could see there are scenes of passing national flag from young people with old style outfits(older generation) to young students who wear uniforms of nowadays, which he connects with lyrics like we should remember history but not to revenge, but toward heaven(Bewhy is Christian so means heaven on earth as well - young people should remember history and work forward to make better Korea, really deep right? I‘m not a rap mania usually but Bewhy’s Rap really impressed me because his rap is not flexing money, fame, women but includes deep and constructive messages.

Alta and Stray, Zhaiyk and Ile. Amateur and Saryaka ( geographic names) I speak of the breath of land were my era lives. I. Speak of the great steppes, which is the cradle of the Turkic world and head of the nomads. Hey silent world, don't breathe deep. You have descendants who did not give up in heavy fights and struggles. There is a patron wit a generous disposition, with a generous soul, whom the changeable world could not wear out or lead astray. There is a spirit of the Great Steppes, about which outsiders do not know, strangers will not understand.
