the speedball is delightful!! thank you for reminding me that I have a pack of these hiding in a box somewhere 😅 just moved last week so I'm still trying to find all my art stuff. I feel like this marker gives the effect that everyone wants out of moonglow only better.
Ooh I love how the ink bled out into the water, and showed the underlying colours. I went to a sketchfest in 2019 for a few days, and it was so much fun! A lot of people though….introvert problems right there! 😂
Ah, earworms... My husband and I play a game where we try to give each other earworms, it's fun! This artwork turned out lovely! I'd forgotten the EW tricks. Thanks for the recommendation for the drawer unit for pens and watercolor pans, it really is a great addition. Which Suddenly Salad do you like? My fave was the garlic parmesan, but it's been a long time. Thanks for this, hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks! You're right - sharing (or foisting) earworms is one of the joys of couple-dom! I actually don't pay much attention to which flavors they are, since I've never had a yucky one. If I had to pick, though, it would be one with bacon. Oh, and I like to use leftover rottiserie or canned chicken. Garlic Parmesan sounds like a surefire winner. 👍
Irene💜💙🩷💚!! I had completely forgotten about this pen! I had one many many years ago, and I definitely want to get it again. My Shaeffer fountain pen ink has similar characteristics when water is added…but this particular pen makes Rendering that “chrome” look almost effortless!! Thanks!
As always, love your vids. I've been a follower since nearly the beginning. This brings me to my comment... you used to always give us the name of the nail color 💅 you have on with each video....I miss those reports in the commentary lol 😂🤪..... As always, I really appreciate your artwork! Thanks for being here! ❤🎉😊
You're a true veteran - thank you! I'm impressed and humbled. My nail confidence took a dive (didn't help that I bit them off a couple of times), but maybe it's time to bring that bit of fun back. 💅
I really like the color effects when water is added. I remember watching other videos where you tried this pen. the variations in color are very beautiful and striking. I was having horrible allergic reactions to every shampoo. I ended up having to use Head & Shoulders Clinical formula because it doesn't trigger that horrible allergic reaction other shampoos will. Haven't had a problem since. I can't use conditioner on my hair, my scalp freaks out and I feel like I want to shave my head. The most recent earworm I got jammed in my dome for nearly a year was a song from Victor/Victoria Le Jazz Hot. Thanks for reminding me of this song and getting this earworm wedged in my brain again. 🤣Great routine from the film, don't blame me if it gets stuck in your head if you watch. You have been warned. Oh, so baby Le Jazz Hot may be What's holding my soul together Don't know whether it's morning or night Only know it's sounding right So come on in and play me Le Jazz Hot maybe Cause I love my jazz... HOT
I may have to seek out Head & Shoulders. I remember watching Victor/Victoria years ago and really enjoying it. But of course I HAD to watch the video of Le Jazz Hot. 😅 Yes - very earwormy!
It looks still cool even though the ink is not lightfast. ❤ I have a lot of my ink drawings (with a lot of hatching) in a sketchbook and they are all with lightfast and waterproof ink. I like how it separates into the pinky purple and that bluish color. It goes so well with the white of the paper.
I can see dedicating an entire sketchbook to the Elegant Writer. That would be fun, yeah? Even with single-color inks... you know, that idea is very appealing. What type of paper do you use for your ink drawings?
@@INCWorks I have them in a Talens or Hahnemühle Nostalgia Sketchbook most of the time. Although if it's a drawing that will end up in a frame I would be drawing it on heavyweight paper. I use Saunders Waterford for watercolor and ink.
@@INCWorks I got them because I got back into drawing and those are the sketchbooks that I still use. The Talens sketchbooks are not that great with washes though the paper will warp.
This was hilarious! 😊 Thank you. I have a three pack of those somewhere around here. I put them up a couple years ago along with other supplies after moving. No clue where .... 😅 I'm really liking how the ink + water is moving across the bamboo paper. Off to try the paper out ... Thanks again 👍
Good morning, Ann! 🌞It's a Baile 2mm mechanical pencil. I've now added a link under 'tools & supplies' so you can see the deets. It's similar to my old Staedtler Mars 780 mechanical pencil - but I prefer the Staedtler because it's made with metal (rather than plastic) and has a bit more heft. I like the 2mm leads because they don't break on me. I think some mechanical pencils use leads that are .7mm, .5mm, or even .3mm.
Beautiful work and beautiful ink- my favourite technique!❤❤❤
😊💐
Just ordered the pen😂 so much for the no buy I've been on for a month!
Yup I’m getting one too! ❤

Good comparison! The Moonglow connection hadn't occurred to me. I hope the move goes smoothly for you and that your art stuff made it through okay.

😂 'introvert problems'. I'm gonna start using that phrase a lot.
Thanks! I appreciate your videos so much. ❤
What a delightful surprise! Thank you, Lynne. Your kindness is a big deal to us. 💐

Wonderful! 😀I hope you're able to find the pens.
Wonderful video as usual. I also have about 20 bottles of shampoo and conditioner in my shower!
Thanks! As they say, 'The (shower) struggle is real'.
Hi Irene! I meant to ask last night but forgot-what pencil did you use to sketch with? The lead looks really wide-or is that my imagination? Thx❤
