Bhai my late Dada was right when he said we used to eat pan from same mohalla as Pran and Om Prakash. He never watched films but when we were watching Namak Halal he saw and immediately recognized his neighbor Om Prakash. We kids never believed or understood but thanks to u all what Dada told is now proven right including seeing Rafi Sahib as a singing teenager. Unbelievable! Salam to your efforts and great work.

Partition was very tragic. Geographically India and Pakistan two different countries but culturally, traditionally and custom wise both are same. Thanks sir for showing the residential houses of legends. Narration in documentary is awesome. Love from 🇮🇳

It is a rather unique and commendable endeavour that Baalwala has undertaken. When lesser known (then) greats walked the gallis of Lahore. I live in Juhu...in Mumbai. Much of bollywood resides in my neighborhood. Bacchans, Kapoor's, Pran sahab and many more live around me. Jaya Prada has a flat on my floor just opposite ours!! And just like every other place, her cook sometimes knocks on our door asking for mirchi or a couple of onions!! And SRK, Salman and Aamir live on the same street about 8 kms from my house. But i never felt so intrigued looking at their houses as I did today watching a distant, erstwhile house of a famous character actor!! Thank you for this upload, respected sir. Love from Mumbai.

Bhai in early 1980 Manoj Kumar visited Lahore. He knew my uncle who showed him the city from where he migrated at partition. Do try to find his house. Also Khayyam Sahib & OP. Nayyers houses. Regards.

I enjoy your videos in Australia. Love your deep voice, your philosphical descriptions. My respect and best wishes to you. My grand parents and many I know in India have come from Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. I hope to visit Pakistan someday to find my roots too. Just one suggestion: you should get a cameraman who has more experties in video lighting and also editing. Many times the video is 'over exposed' or 'burnt' that means it has too much light and looks very white. So the real colours get 'washed out'.

He was living in sootar mandi not gumti very easy to go there from lohari darwaza even to gumti or shahalmi darwaza he was well known before partition performing as Fate Din in all India radio Lahore then through Dil S Puncholi he joined films Chaman Daasi Madari very memorable movies even Zareef copied him in Kartar Singh same acting Om did in Chaman The Paan shop was beside Paramount cinema Bhati Gate. Since 1969 I am living outside of Pakistan but still remember inch by inch of my سوہنا لاہور

Baalwala,you should also consider locating the homes of: Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan’s father Roshan Sahab in Gujranwala and also Prem Chopra’s house in Lahore.Prem Chopra just recently mentioned in an interview that his house in Lahore is very well looked after.I can give you the link of his interview.

I find it fascinating that you make this effort to research and document the lives and locations of well known Hindus from your city of Lahore.
This is contrary to the tenets of Islam which are the defining bounds of Pakistani existence today. In his book 'Among the believers', V S Naipaul spoke about how Islam mandates erasing the past.
Your efforts shine light on those very dark spaces that shall help Pakistan define it's place in the world.

You can divide a civilization on tens of lines but essentially it remains what it originally has been. Religious perspective cant snatch one's relation with land . Those who left their land after partition couldn't forget the land of their ancestors , their own land . Hindus and Muslims were divided on political reasons otherwise they coexisted against all odds. My ancestors came from India and never forgot their land .. Jalandhar. They left the land but couldn't forget it . This is my inspiration for the videos .

@@BaalWala Sir I live in Uk but if you search Balraj sahni house in Rawalpindi and Anand Bakshi house in rawalpindi then you'll find some videos but they are not very well made as you have made Lahore videos.
The list can go on for Chetan Anand, o p nayyar, Gulzar sahab, Dev Anand, Prem Chopra etc. I wish you continue this series you started from Mohd Rafi sahab.
Also aik afsos ki baat hai ke ab after 75 years a lot people have died so the quality of works you are doing can't be seen by them who left there
