Owned them both over the years and both sound and play pretty good! Fun to mod too.
I was just running through TH-cam and ran across this channel and holy smokes I know the host what a great man what an incredible talents to say the least glad to see you're doing good
Yep I’ve owned both at one time vintage really makes great renditions of these classics..
The Squier presents a more open and louder sound, I liked it more
The CV sounds more clear ,I think the vintage a little muddy
Got the Vintage. And love it. But my bridge pickup broke and I had to replace it. Now its a bit hotter but sounds absolutely killer! Very playable guitar, love the Vintage brand. And way to go on this demo. Very down to earth and accessible. Well done.
Thanks for watching! We’re partial to the Vintage as well.
I have the Squier CV 50s Tele. I haven’t compared it to other Telecasters, but it sure is a nice guitar. I got mine used, so I did some setup adjustments. It plays great and is a heck of a value.
Squire sounds a little bit nicer. But the nice finish on the neck on the Squire really is the deal maker.
I have the Vintage V52 Icon Series heavy relic & its the best. Sounds amazing better than the squire and plays better than a fender player too . Maybe I was just lucky buts its deffo a keeper
Both good ,,,,classic vibe bit more resonate 🤔
Hands down, the squire sounds more balanced. Both sound good but the squire has the edge in this one.
Vintage sounds a little warmer until the bridge which seems brighter with that classic Tele twang. Squier sounded smoother distorted. Squier seems like it has a lighter paint job with the grain popping through.
great feedback!
@@jamesgmusic thanks man. Keep up the great videos!
In this video - the Squier sounded better to my ears. More sustain and more of that Tele mojo. The Vintage sounded more muddy and possibly higher output.
On the vintage I hear no difference between neck and middle positions I do on the squier howevever I like the sound of the bridge position on the vintage better
The V52 bridge pickup is kind of warmer so its middle position isn't as distinctive as CV, because CV has its neck pickup very warm and its bridge pickup very trebley. When overdriven, the CV has more bark and bites due to its more highs/chimes compared to V52. But it's not something EQ sections can't work out.
I have the CV. However I would likt to swap that neck for a soft V or a U shape neck. Anyone who knows if that's possible? Will an ordinary Fender tele neck fit?
Vintage V52 is a fantastic guitar 🎸 👌
I think the squire was much brighter but I've owned Vintage branded guitars and they are excellent. You can find some really nice Vintage branded guitars especially early ones. Good to mod too.
The squire is just awesome
Two beautiful guitars
Yeah I think what people are hearing as clarity in the squier would be harshness in person. Just from playing these here and there in a shop
@@lindseyjameswilliams1240 I got a Fender Squier TELECASTER SONIC ESQUIRE Ultra violet
it's a bomb!
Vintage sounds more compressed and thin
Vintage V52 👍
I found a 2008 AVRI 52 Tele at a pawn shop for $499
Swap the pickup of the vintage to an American standard telecaster pickup and that guitar will sound better than the American Telecaster, I HAVE DONE THE COMPARISON BY MYSELF, my friend came to the same conclusion🤣
Which pickup? Both?
@@psyched0ut yes both
A lot of stings rattling on that Vintage
I like the Vintage design but the pickups sound far inferior.
pound for pound dollar for dollar ill put my glarry up against them both...lol
Fender all day long…
Why are Fender making yellow guitars like that? Not very pleasing.
‘Butterscotch Blonde’ is an original color Fender has been using on guitars since the 1950s.
Sometimes you just shouldn't talk.
@@tarpley-music BSB is nice and a classic, but this is yellow.
Agree with you. These new Indonesia made CVs dont look very pleasing. The Classic Vibe made with in China ones looked better aesthetically compared to Indonesia. China ones even had Brass saddles. I had one.
@@KartikSharma-yr9lmAgreed, MIC CV 50 look fantastic, have super sustain brass saddles and great twang, they stay in tune for ages ( still have mine modded with Fishman fluence Greg Koch Christle ton allows original white guard and black guard tones)
