Mighty Meadow's Grand Misadventure Continues - Eagle Country Nest Abby, Blaze, Swampy, Meadow (4/4)

- Meadow is still on the branch just below the nest, and once again - parents have been sticking close by.
Meadow is obviously getting a bit restless, and I don't believe food has been brought to the branch yet. It appears that Abby & Blaze are trying to lure Meadow back to the nest, with a remarkable amount of food drops being made throughout the day.
Meadow has made a few efforts to climb back up, as you can see throughout this video, even making it a fair distance up a couple of times.
The most important thing is - Meadow IS safe right now. Meadow still had a decent crop today. Meadow is not far from the nest & the entire family is very well aware of where each other is. We're still good here. Let's hope that Meadow gets good rest tonight, with renewed strength to figure this out tomorrow.

So close yet so far away
So near yet so far. I seem to remember one of M-15’s babies last year fell out of its nest (i think by owl?). It was under nest like this one but eventually flap/crawled its way back in nest.
That’s neat. How long did that take?
@@TheEmaile I can’t remember (2 days 🤔) it was nerve wracking watching. M15 lost his mate and he was a real trooper fighting off intruders and raising the two eaglets ❤️ 🙏🏼 Meadow figures it out.

Nervous that Meadow will jump up on the fallen sticks and nesting material and it will all come crashing down. The wing flaps and hops are so good, though. If only there was space to do that again half way up.
I don’t much admire the parents of Meadow. They are just ignoring their starving baby. They need to feed her to make her strong enough to climb.
They do have bird brains… maybe they thought it willingly went down to the branch and can get back up if it just tries. Can’t think like a human in this case.
@@TheEmaile I did wonder that. They weren’t home when it fell out, so it’s possible they thought it branched and will come back when it feels like it.
M was seriously ill and life threat
Believe me, the parent eagles are well aware of their baby on the lower branch. Wait and see. I have faith all will be well. Eagles are smart and they know what they are doing. ♥️🦅

As much as I hate to see the struggle, it's this type of adversity/challenge that helps to assure Meadow will be a mighty eagle who is prepared to face the world on their own. Such a brave and determined eaglet!
Is Meadow old enough to fledge? Just started following this nest...I know E23 accidentally fledged and was fine..Meadow seems to be a very determined eaglet and is assessing her situation. Prayers she figures out a way.
Meadow hatched on 2/2, so still a bit away from that 12-week fledge mark, even on the earlier end of the norm. I'm feeling hopeful that Meadow will be determined to be uninjured and able to be released near the nest around fledge time. We'll see how it goes as the updates come.
