Also, Chef Varun should share the recipie on the vidoe so it becomes world famous. Chef Varun Inamdar's videos are one of my favourites and have seen quite a few of them. Watching Kunal try Varun's specially created Mumbaiwala cuisine on the show was like watching two Mumbaikars singing a food medley on the Shivaji Park Katta. Tya-chat Maharashtra mejwani cha hrudaya manjhe - zanzanit thecha ahe, magh tyat vegg-veggde thikanya-che rasse ani sarvat mahatvacha - apla assal Mumbaikaracha vishesh prem. Apologies I am still learning the beautiful language - Marathi. Now about the food. Amazing array of dishes inspired by the ubiquitous Tawa of Mumbai. The flavours seem dense yet serenading and the food looks yummy. Luckily I am not far away from Mahim so this can be ordered and delivered too. Todfod and Bhidu Biryani is now on a must have bucket list as I have not tried them yet. Dishes such as the tawa kaleji looks like it can get into a serious cockfight with those famous ones in and around Mohammed Ali Road and perhaps even defeat a few. The desi Schzwan chutney tadka in a typical Singaporean Chilli Crab can seem blasphamous to some but to foodies this can be night out on a spiritual quest. Speaking of another kinds of 'spiritual' quest, earlier, on some of our late night 'spiritual escapades to suburbs, we discovered this gem Bhujhing. Perhaps an invention of Koli Christians or East Indian - Bhujhing is our version of a meat roast ala apla Poha. Getting nostalgic about those drives after a drink or two, we forced the teetotaler in the group to drive or a forced teetotaler for that evening (usually someone who turned up late) to drive us to some famous Bhujhing spots and for more spirits. About the episode, as usual Kunal jumped right in to the food and made the episode great with his authentic style. Nuggets such as his 'flying kiss "beautiful" and "mein dhoondh-ta hoon, ek ek kar ke dhoondhta hoon" in the Tod Fod. I seriously think he was so engrossed in enjoying that crab chilli that he lost his words in that moment.

This is truly unapologetic eating....jindagee ka asli mazha le rahe ho bhidu...seeing Kunal eat is feast in itself....so much of respect and honor food gets...simply amazing ...Varun is revelation.
