it's true, the midnight blue has something very special...and I really didn't know what to expect as I orderd the burgundy with the #4, but as I opend the Box I was stunned
that can definitely be the case, also because it's the only one with the beige enterior. All the other ones are in black as far as I know, correct me if I am wrong
@@kallisto3000 yes your definitly right as far as I can see it's the only one of the 275 with a beige interior unless the come out with another with a beige or some other color your yellow gt is also beautiful those have over 1800 parts mind boggling
yes, I'm so happy I got my hands on that one, I missed it 6 -7 years ago and it got so pricey during the time. But at the end I decided to get the 250 GTO, this model can't miss in the collection. I just wasn't sure about the color, but yellow is actually the original Ferrari color, so I went with it..... even though red fits perfectly....and blue looks phenomenal as well
Hello :-), yes...my Mercedes McLaren has some paint rash on one side, but I must say that is the only model with such an issue and I have quite a few. I know that older models from CMC have big problems with "Zink Pest" and I'm lucky that all my Mercedes Silver Arrow's have been spared so far. I experienced this problem with Autoart and Kyosho a bit more :-/
@@kallisto3000 Thank you Sir. My Blue Wonders the Rentransporters have this issue, I have this model in 1:43scale and 1:18 scale by CMC. I purchased these models second hand and they both have a slight Paint Rash issue. From your experience with CMC and diecast, how do you preveent Paint Rash from getrting worse ona diecast model? Do you use high quality Wax? what will stop the growth of Paint Rash? I'm in a very dry climate Calgary Canada. Cheers and thank you Sir :)
well, I never really tried to prevent paint rash with any action. I only know that this happens, because there is some kind of metal (Zinc) reaction with oxygen that causes gas, which you recognize as little bubbles on the surface. I heard once, to prevent or to stop the "Zink Pest" you would have to seal the model complete in vacuum. But who does this :-)) What you can do is to polish the areas that are affected. There are some good videos on TH-cam that shows the process. You need 2 to 3 diffrent kind of sandpapers 2000, 3000 and 5000 grain and Tamiya polishing compound, coars, fine and finsh. I bought this once, but I have never tried it out so far. But you must be aware that it can return after a few years again :-/
@@kallisto3000 Paint Rash and Zin Pest are two completely different things. In my case, thankfully I have the Paint rash issue and not Zinc Pest. Thank you sir for the feedback.
@@markamd1 yes, you are totally right....it‘s not the same, at least paint rash is not as deadly as the pest, but both causes ugly bubbles on the paint which nobody needs 😩.
To be honest very, very good...it got a little expensive but the quality is absolut high end that no other diecast company achievs for my opinion. What do you think?
@@kallisto3000 I recently ordered three (3) Mercedes Pullman models from CMC USA, M-217, M-205 and the M-204 and I must say I am deeply dissapointed in the quality control that CMC demonstrated, 2/3 models came defective right out of the box. These models were a christmas gift that my family has given me right before christmas as my chrismtas present and these models are my very first experience with Diecast models....I did a lot of research and heard that CMC was absolutely the best in the business, and since I love the Pullman Mercedes line, I decided to give CMC a try. Long story short, the Blue Landauet model had severe buff marks on the paint finish and the roof mechanism was not functioning correctly, there were randoom screws loose in the box and the Tan model had glue marks all over the door hinges, woobly wheels and horrible paint finish and finally, Finger Prints all over the models. I sent these two models back to CMC USA for a replacement.....They sent me back the 2 new models, but same issue with Blue Landauet straight out of the box, buff marks on paint finish but at leastr the Convertable roof mchanism is working on this model. I am deeply dissapointed that for over $1000 thousand dollars, the quality is this low on these 1:18 scale Mercedes Pullman models.
Oh wow, that sounds horrible. I would have been dissapointed as well....I must say, as these Pullmans came out I was very curios and I put them on my list, but then after a while I thought over it and I finally decided not to puchase them, because they didn't really fit in my collecting line. For myself I only had one bad experience with CMC. I had paint rash on a Mercedes SLR McLaren, but the retailer gave me a partial refund and I was satisfied. A friend of mine had a damaged hood on his Ferrari 312P which he bought on eBay, but he even got a replacement from CMC themselves....that was kind of cool. So in general I always had good experiences without issues. I have about 30 models which are mine and I'm absolutely amazed. I think you just had bad luck, or the Pullman is susceptible for these issues
Congratulations on your 3 new additions to your collection beautiful beautiful!!!
yes thank you very much, i fell in love right away
Congratulations! 3 beautiful adds for amazing collection! 😁👍🇨🇱
