So u mean that 4k 60 fps isn't truly 4k 60 just a software upgrade?
Dude u deserve all the praises...the little tweak you made to your cam setup is leagues better than the stock loris 4k setup. The image looks great and barely any jello after post...Kudos to you man thank you for doing God's work.

This camera is on my GepRc TinyGo. It has been great. I have since modded the TG to have Crossfire and an Xt30 Battery Lead and added a Lumenier Axii Omni for the Vtx. Awesome whoop, perfect for beginners and seasoned pilots.

Hey thanks so much for all your work that went into this. Just finished a quad with a loris in it and excited to fly it tomorrow. Only reason I went with the loris was because you provided the raw files and that boosted my confidence in the image quality. I'm trying to figure out if there is any way to start/stop recording with my radio. Any ideas?
Yeah, you have to setup analog camera control in Betaflight. There are videos on how to do that on TH-cam.

Crazy the latency issues with 4k30 an then the sensor issue on 4k60 . . Would be cool to do like you mentioned and add a ratel or runcam nano on top of it! Wonder how the price all in vs a Tarsier would be?
I think I would stick to 2.7k 60fps it looks super good still most people prob won't see 4k due to the device they watch on. The camera looks pretty dang good! Now I'm real interested in seeing a Nano cam stacked on top of it. Future video I hope?

HI Albert. I Owned Geprc 4k tinygo. I think it use these camera. But my camera is not displaying images. OSD is shown. I think my camera is problem. can you show how to change the camera with new one? How to unplugged the cable from the fc. thank you
I don't have that model so I have no idea how it is built. That company isn't sending me the good stuff anymore. They don't like honest reviews.
Albert there's a bug in the firmware: Rotate video 180deg works for analog feed but not on HD recordings. They are all upside down. Also the sharpening adds horrible noise even set to zero.
They need to do noise reduction before video encoding.

Yeah, you can do that. It just needs power. You won't be able to change settings though.
are ANY of the DVR boards interchangeable with any of their other ribbon connected cameras?
Not compatible with older boards. They just happen to use the same connectors and cables.

just checked the 4K30 RAW file. As Caddx advertises the Loris to record with 80Mbit I was curious to find out, if that might be true. Your footage details say that it's only 60Mbit. Can you confirm the bitrate?

4k 60 is 80mbit, 4k 30 is 60mbit.

For 4K/30, its the same. 4K/60 is a lot worse and not flyable. However, there is probably newer firmware out now that improves that but I have not tested it.
Do any of the existing caddx Nd filters work with the Loris?
No, but you can make TPU adapters that will allow them to fit
Very good review, thanks! Just tested the loris and found that it does not create new files for multiple recordings. In other words it overwrites each time the last recording so that there remains only one file on the SD card. Is there a work-around?
Have you tried another card? Have you formatted the card in the camera?

It's annoying that the settings are modifying both the FPV video and the 4K video... Is it that hard/impossible to capture an image and process it separately?
Based on the way this system works, it would require separate video processing units increasing the cost by at least 50% or more and adding a lot of weight as well.

LOL. RSgo only works for GoPro cameras. The adjustments were made in Premiere.

no, you just get an analog image.
Anybody know whether there is any other DVR board that could be used to replace the one that comes with the Loris? I am having trouble finding the board by itself without having to buy the whole camera again. And I have already bought 3 Loris cameras, but all I need is a replacement DVR board.
You might want to contact Caddx directly. I don't see it sold by itself anywhere.

No, that's the 4K recording. What you see is the analog. I showed it briefly in the video about 5 minutes in.

Tarsier uses a dedicated FPV camera so that one is better
My fpv view on my tarsier is better than my baby ratel.. maybe I got lucky but my tarsier fpv view looks fine..

Yes, the FPV feed is like any other analog FPV camera.

It would be cool if they made a camera with this form factor, just without an FPV interface entirely. Simply a very small 4K DVR with a 20x20 board. You would use it as a secondary camera, sort of like a GoPro. I have the Tarsier on my Cinestyle quad, but it's frail stuff, man.
Well, you could use it in a quad with a second FPV camera with no problems.
You can do that right now. There's nothing to prevent you from doing that.
@@AlbertKimTV I agree, but perhaps the HD camera could be even better, cheaper than a split camera or less power consuming, etc. It's sort of wasteful to use only half a camerasystem, is my opinion.

i love my turtle and tarsier... my only wish is they'd sort out that stupid cable too short and easy to snag. would also be nice to put the sd card on the same edge of the board as the buttons that way you can still get the sd card out and get at the buttons.

Sure, there are lots of ways in video editing. Just one example is warp stabilizer in Adobe Premiere.

I have a 7 black and I'm just not seeing the image quality with this Loris - the 7 at least doesn't look like a cellphone sensor in proper lighting and I can make something usable from a film making perspective.
This Loris looks great fun but it's not the same as the naked Gopro. I don't think there's anything better than naked yet? Maybe DJI will dip into that...
Hi@ all. I got a tinygo4k and i just cant Start the menu to change from 2.7k to 4k. Pressing the Button in the camera Controller brings up no menu in goggles. Any Help would be highly apreciated . Thx
The controller board might be broken or perhaps the cable connection to the board. If not that, the camera board itself might be defective and you'll need to get support from the builder.
So is it possible to get 4k quality video without buying a digital quad? I’m so confused? Is there analog quads or cinewhooos that have onboard 4k or is digital flying the only way to achieve that? I want to get good quality video but not have to fly only dji digital
There is no system that uses 4K transmitted FPV video. DJI is the best system currently transmitting 720p video over the air. This camera is analog FPV with a 4K recording to the local SD card and is not transmitting that video in 4K digitally but over an analog signal.

So I can run analog fpv but gets 4k video if I run split cam and or have onboard dvr, or a second action cam. Or am I way off
In my opinion not the best solution to go with a 30mm stack. I still prefer the tarsier wich comes with a 20mm stack. Makes it more easy to put in any micro quad. Thanks for sharing anyways :o)
There are 3D printed adapters you can use to mount to a 30x30. It's not a big deal.
@@AlbertKimTV OK. But on a narrow frame you cannot install a 30x30 stack. For ex. GEPRC Cygnet frames. You need a 20x20 stack like the Tarsier has.

From all comparisons I v seen, runcam split 4 bits Loris in FPV picture, and Loris is better when it comes to recording

You should have watched the video from 8:05 to 8:58 (lower left corner)
Mine has alot of disturbance in the dark
This camera is not intended for low light use and will not perform well.

@@AlbertKimTV would disagree - I'm one of these persons who are getting eye cancer once the video has this 30Hz flickering... techincally, yes, 4k30 is best resolution :-)
